Perfect dog friendly pit stop

This was the perfect pet-friendly spot to spend the night on our way to Montréal from New Brunswick. While the rooms are tiny, they are incredibly clean and the beds are very comfortable. N.B.The rooms are NOT soundproof so you will hear the street and next door neighbors.

Very clean room. Parking just outside the door was convenient for unpacking/packing and loading up the dogs. Rooms for folks with dogs are conveniently located for a quick trip outside. The campus is very pretty and a great place to exercise the pups. Access to the lobby was convenient for coffee, ice, towels and toiletries if needed. Close enough to town center that you can get a nice walk in to grab drinks and a bite.

Great quiet location with easy parking and places to sit outside. The staff was friendly, check-in/out was easy and our room was very clean. The bed seemed smaller than a queen and the air conditioning unit was loud. However, we would stay there again!

Le Fraser Motel is a good no frills option for a one night stay. The rooms are basic but clean and suggest they've been recently renovated. No breakfast but the free-use deluxe bean-grinding coffee machine in the lobby area exceeded expectations! Our stay was quiet and uneventful.

Self check in, difficult when you do not read or speak the language or do not work computers. Had to call in for assistance. Staff on phone was bilingual and helpful. Room was good except no waste basket with a with a liner, hard to dispose of personal items. Pet friendly, great area for pets.

The room was very clean and comfortable though check- in was odd, you did it at a kiosk. Very thin walls between rooms and loud street noise if you stay in the front rooms. More shelf space in the bathroom is needed and a shelf in the shower to hold your shampoo etc would be nice plus a trashcan in the bathroom would be helpful. The area surrounding hotel was fine, cute downtown and close to Riviere du Loup for hiking. A few minor updates and my score would have been 5 across the board.

Everything was so accommodating and convenient, especially for my stressful situations of why I was staying there in the first place, not a planned trip very last minute and stayed 5 nights total. Staff was awesome !! & self check in situation from what I learned new owners still figuring some stuff out but nothing too noticeable in my opinion. One thing no onsite laundry so sucked I couldn’t catch up on some where I had soo much to do. But overall amazing stay.

We appreciated having a clean and modern room in a buget motel setting. There was lots of green space to walk our dog. The coffee machine in the shared amenities room was excellent and we appreciated the ice. I would have appreciated having an emergency number to be able to call someone if needed (plumbing problem, break & entry with damaged propterty). I would suggest including a hair dresser in the room - I do not usually travel with one as most hotels provide a dryer. Overall it was a positive experience for one night.

The unstaffed check in options (at certain times) may be a con to some. However, the check in process is fairly easy and you can switch between English and French, I believe Spanish as well. If you do have an issue when the desk is unstaffed you will be directed to go across the street to the larger hotel for assistance. I would recommend smart tv's instead of local programming, as (for obvious reasons - being in Quebec) most channels was in the French language. It would be nice to have the option to log in to a personal streaming service. All is in all its not a bad place for an overnight stay. Beds were comfortable, rooms were nicely updated. Small fridge. We were 3 adults and 2 kids returning from vacationing on PEI.
