"Conveniently located near the Nikko Toshogu Shrine and loved the private onsen. Room was spacious, modern and comfortable. Walkable to the main town and bus stops for sites (eg to Chuzenji) are very close. Staff are friendly and personal touches such as dropping us to the station for the onward journey was much appreciated. "
"Hôtel typique que l'on pourrait rechercher pour passer qques nuits dans un pays étranger. Accueil chaleureux. Chambre agréable. Dîner proposé très satisfaisant, un peu moins pour le petit déjeuner. Très bien placé pour accéder au site et eu petit centre ville. Aisément accessible de la gare (train)."
"I really love this hotel!
The staff were kind and lovely, even though I’m not very good at communication.
I stayed in Room 406, which had a window and a door leading out to the balcony — I absolutely loved it!
There’s a Family Mart right across from the hotel, and it’s not far to walk from the train station.
It was also very convenient to walk to the large supermarket in town.
If I ever come back to Nikko, I will definitely stay here again."
"Hotel is a bit off the beaten tourist track, but worth it for a quiet visit. Great value for money and the host is so kind!! I was traveling solo and felt very welcome and safe. Easy walk to the abyss. By far one of the best dinners and breakfasts I had in Japan!!"
"Amazing Ryokan held by a very nice couple. The kaiseki diner and breakfast were especially Amazing !! If you don’t mind using a public bathroom I totally recommend you this Ryokan 👍"
"I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Nikko recently and honestly, it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The location alone makes it worth the trip — right on Lake Chuzenji, with the mountains and waterfalls of Nikko all around. It feels super peaceful and completely different from the city vibe of Tokyo.
Rooms
The rooms are huge by Japanese standards and beautifully designed. Think modern but with lots of Japanese touches — sliding doors, deep soaking tubs, and big windows that frame...
