"Class all the way and Phillip at reception was brilliant. The advice he gave regarding local restaurants was well received and accurate. The only disappointment was we had only one night there! We will be back!"

"Perfect to walk to events nearby."

"Decor, amenities, location, and the fabulous staff. Loved the bar and restaurant downstairs "

"Perfect clean modern small rooms in a great area and a cool vibe"

"Wow, the Medusa is absolutely fabulous! Love the beautifully designed interior which has bags of character and uses gorgeous colours, textures and sumptuous materials to create a feeling of period splendour and true luxury. Staff were fun, friendly and helpful. Evenings on the balcony, shaded by a pretty tree complete with fairylights and the occasional visit from a shy possum, were divine. A truly memorable stay."

"A fantastic experience at this fun and unique hotel. The location is very convenient, with plenty of restaurants nearby and bus stops right outside the door. The hotel itself has a great atmosphere, with lots of dining options and playful design touches throughout. The room was beautiful, well thought out, and had everything I needed, including a desk for working. I would highly recommend staying here!"

"Amenities like the pool were offline and you only find out at check in Expensive for what it is - probably go with short term rental next time Great central location"

"Very disappointing experience, especially for the price I used to love staying at this hotel. It was always a pleasure to come back, with a fantastic reception team, complimentary minibar and the overall experience you would expect from a five-star hotel. Unfortunately, my stay this year was a huge disappointment. The rooms have been renovated, but nothing particularly impressive. Meanwhile, there is no bar, nowhere to enjoy a meal, and renovation work is happening everywhere, with workers...

"The room and bathroom is good but the carpet in the needs cleaning and wash away various stains.."

"Comfortable bed in a very tiny room. Good for guests who are using it only to sleep. Personally, I had to find a coffee shop to so some work in rather than use my room or hotel facilities."

"Great position convenient to transport, restaurants cafes, walk everywhere"

"Great location to easily get into town. Was very clean and staff efficient. Pool area, bar etc nicely done. Room clean, bed comfy, slightly small but fine for what we needed. On a downside, the restaurant is currently closed for refurbishment although it was stated it would be reopening 5 Oct looks like hasn’t started yet. Tea,coffee etc in room but no milk? When requested some I was told they don’t supply it “yet”? Very odd. Our tv had no controllers but on request they were supplied."

"Always a great pleasure to stay at The Challis Hotel, with a Perfect location, gorgeous little rooms, and always friendly, helpful staff."
