"Absolutely awful experience – I will not be returning. During my recent stay, £180 was taken from my bag while I went down for breakfast. Before leaving the room, I had asked a housekeeper to change the bedding, which she agreed to do while I was out. When I returned, the money was gone. I reported this immediately, but the hotel’s response was extremely disappointing. No proper action was taken on the day — no searches were carried out at the time the money went missing, which would have been the most critical moment. To make matters worse, no senior management were available as it was a bank holiday weekend. My complaint was only properly reviewed a week later by senior management, which already put me at a disadvantage. Despite raising serious concerns, nothing meaningful was done, and I was told they could not take responsibility. I also raised concerns about the housekeeper involved. She appeared very uncomfortable during our interaction and spoke very little English, with most communication needing to be translated through another staff member. This made the situation even more concerning and difficult to address at the time. What has made this even worse is the complete lack of customer care. I requested a refund due to the distress and dissatisfaction caused, but this was refused. Not even a gesture of goodwill was offered, despite the fact I have stayed at this hotel regularly for both personal and business trips. This whole experience has completely put me off"

"Nice Hotel in excellent central location with on site parking. Property is a little tired and our window would not fully close. Staff were frendly. Breakfast was good with a choice eggs cooked to order should you with. Bar did shut a little early"

"Comfortable beds, nice toiletries, good shower. The full breakfast had a good selection of choices:hot, cold, pastries,fruit, cereal, porridge and plenty of different teas and coffees."

"Basic and easy for last minute stay as our train back to London was too late. Very basic but clean. Warning that windows don’t open. We paid “extra for window” that doesn’t even open. "
