I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The basics weren’t right: there was no hot water in the showers, the door lock was loose and felt unsafe, and the in‑room safe was broken. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving valuables behind. Another major issue was the lack of support from the front desk. If you don’t already have pesos, be prepared, the staff offered no clear directions to a bank or ATM. I spent over an hour trying to find one, and when I asked for help, the receptionist was confusing and unhelpful. No map, no written instructions, just a dismissive attitude. It felt like they didn’t care whether guests figured it out or not. One morning around 6 AM, I couldn’t even leave the property because the gate was locked. The staff member shouted from down the hall that she was coming, waking up other guests in the process. Because of the delay, my Uber driver charged me a waiting fee, even though he hadn’t waited long. That added frustration to an already poor experience.
On my last day, I asked if I could store my luggage before checkout. They agreed, but simply told me to leave it in a utility room that didn’t look secure. When I tipped the staff member afterward, her attitude completely changed, which made me realize friendliness here seems tied to tipping rather than genuine service.
The room itself had several maintenance issues: cabinets missing knobs, a bathroom door that couldn’t open fully because it hit the sink, and overall a lack of upkeep

Balcony not worth the extra charge
Nice location north of Malecón craziness
It is a nice and affordable place, there's a few details that might bother some people I believe some other things compensate those little flaws. One of them might be if you're someone who's looking to wake up late everyday, try to request a room away from the street. A Church is right aside and they call to mass very early in the morning. Other than that the personel is very friendly and responsive to any request, the beds are comfy and the location is very convenient.
This was an awful experience. I booked a budget room, big mistake. Those rooms do not have windows outside, just on the interior corridor. When I arrived, they gave me a room behind the reception and next to the washroom - horrible! I could hear everyone talking in the reception, people using the washroom, the cleaning lady starting mopping before 7am, felt the smoke of cigarettes. The following day I asked for a different room and they moved me upstairs- still no window outside, and moldy bathroom, but less noise. Photos online are misleading. Plenty of better hotels for similar prices.
The worst place to stay, no hot water at all no fan in room no air conditioning and the eorst part was the safety unsecured windows flimsy doors, at 2 am a man went rampaging through the place banging on all the doors and yelling, he kept yjis up for half an hour and eventuslly smashed open a door yhen I heard yelling from a lady and the man kept yelling, I was traumatized and thought he was going to break into my room, absolutely the worst possible place to stay, not safe, not comfortable, not quiet, not relaxing it should not be a hotel
The hotel was not very secure. Mickey Mouse lock on the door and having 3 young guys with head to toe tatoos knock on the door and just eyeball the room and walk away had quite a restless night.
Booked for 7 nights, stayed for 1 and the hotel refused to refund the balance.
Stay away!
