Perfect spot to avoid the crazy prices on Grace Bay. The room was clean and quiet for the duration of our stay.
Private parking was nice to always have a place to park when the restaurant got busy.
It’s a 10 minute walk to the beach and the on site restaurant was amazing. Having a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave allowed for the purchase of groceries and drinks to save some $
The room was modern, spaceous, and clean with very comfortable beds. Housekeeping came every third day but it was easy to get more towels when needed, just don't ask for more coffee pods because you only get 4. The parking was gated. Every Thursday there is a Fish Fry next door (lots of souvenir vendors with prices similar to shops around town but huge lines for food). The rooftop pool was nice, and empty, but had no shade, plus it was ooen 24 hours. I do not recommend the restaurant. Overpriced for okay food.
Very friendly staff. Convenient location which is close to downtown and beaches. Make sure you arrive on Thurs or Wed so you can experience the Fish Fry festival which is right next door. It was amazing! The food from the Hotel Restaurant was fantastic!
No front desk. Impossible to get a hold of anyone. No room cleaning or anyone that comes by. I got injured on the trip and they did not have any first aid, not even bandaids. We had to get a $60 cab to the pharmacy just to get bandaids and an ice pack. We finished the two water bottles that they put in the room and of course there was no one at the front desk to assist with getting more waters, we had to ask a guy leaf blowing the property where we can get waters and he helped us go across the street to a gas station for water. It’s good if you’re coming for the fish fry festival or Mr. Grouper (the restaurant) but I wouldn’t recommend staying at the hotel.
The property is relatively old but in good condition. Room size is decent and mattress is firm. We were really tiered after a long journey so slept really good. The host welcomed us with a tropical welcome drink and helped get our luggage to our room too.
The location is closer to all the restaurants and near beach. It's great value for money.
My friend and I just returned from our trip at The Suites at Mr. Grouper. Overall we enjoyed our stay here after some plumbing mishap in our room in which we had to change rooms twice. The rooms are very clean and the bed was really comfortable. When we arrived to check in at 3:00 p.m. the woman at the desk took some time to look up from her phone to acknowledge us, then she told us our room was not ready without even asking us our names. She could tell we were not thrilled and we asked if we could change to our bathing suites in the restroom while we wait for our room. While we were fishing through our luggage, the woman came out and informed us our room was ready. Later that evening, we had a plumbing issue and had to change rooms. We were not thrilled the next day when we were at the beach and we got a call from the hotel, that we needed to switch rooms again. But, once we changed our room, the rest of our stay was very nice. The pool area is nice and clean. A great place to watch the sunrise and sunset. The restaurant was very good, although we only ate there once. I think for the price, overall its a good place to stay and we had a great time.
The property was clean and the best restaurant on the island is next door. That made everything perfect. The AC was nice and cold which was great because the days were truly hot.
Overall , I am staying here everytime in in Turks. Location is great.
Really comfortable stay overall. The room was spacious and well set up with a bed, couch, desk, full-size fridge, microwave, and dishes. Nice touches like beach towels, a hair dryer, and in-shower shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all provided.
The balcony faced a small walkway and fence, so the view wasn’t great, but it didn’t take away from the experience. The suites are located next to the restaurant, and there’s a gated area for your rental car, which felt convenient and secure. It’s also right next to a gas station, which made quick fill-ups easy.
There’s a weekly fish fry festival on Thursdays with music and vendors. It was the only lively night, but the music wrapped up around 10–11 pm and was actually fun to experience.
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk to the beach. The area felt safe, though it’s a pretty quiet street, so I personally preferred not walking alone at night and ended up renting a car to explore more beaches nearby.
A couple things to note: the property isn’t handicap accessible, and the rooftop pool (around the 4th floor) is on the smaller side. The shower water was warm but didn’t get very hot.
The hotel also has a small on-site store, which was convenient for picking up anything you might have forgotten.
That said, the room was clean, the staff were genuinely kind and accommodating, and the on-site restaurant had good local food and a bar. I would absolutely stay here again.
It was a nice hotel, I had one little issue with the room which got corrected almost immediately. The people were nice and the location was not too far from the beach. They also had the Island Fish Fry right next door. The restaurant had great food and drinks! It was a nice place abd cozy place to stay.
During my first time in Turks and Caicos, this was the perfect place to stay within a lower hotel budget. The hotel was located a 10 minute walk from public Grace Bay beach access, as well as a 12-15 minute drive from the airport. We were also able to walk 0.7 miles or so to the grocery store and the strip where all the main shops and restaurants are. (You can also taxi, but we wanted to do more walking while we were here). It’s super cool that the local Thursday fish fry is right next door too, although a rainy forecast cancelled the fish fry during the week we were here (bummer!) The hotel is located in a not so built up area, not the main tourist hub. But for the price, it was perfect for us. You get to experience a more local vibe staying over here I think. The rooftop pool was a cool spot to chill and take a dunk. We never saw more than 1-2 other people up there while we were there. The room was huge which was awesome. The bathroom had nice lighting (for the girls who need a place to do makeup haha) and the kitchenette provided plates and utensils and cups for eating in the room. Comfy beds, Jenny in the office was extremely helpful and friendly, and overall a great first experience on the island for us. The only one critique I have is that a thorough mop between stays would be great. It seems the floors were only swept before we arrived, and being a beach type of location, the dirt really just lingered so my feet were always a little dirty.ButI would definitely return!
