"The whole stay was splendid. Paul is a wonderful host, a phenomenal cook, and a kind person. Our room was beautifully decorated, and the shower was a huge bonus to me. I love a piping hot shower, and detachable faucet so that I don’t have to get my hair wet or humid. Hardly any place has that! Our room did! The house has an interesting history, and I love the fragrance as you walk in. Like years of good breakfasts with bacon and coffee, nice furniture polish and books. It will be our go-to place...

"It's been bought by a development group and they seem to be renovating for more of a High Hampton or Blackberry Farm vibe. Adding a 3 story hotel and such. Hope it doesn't mean prices are going to skyrocket as Dillard House has always been a great value. Super nice staff."

Our room was darling, well appointed with a little sitting area, fireplace and record player including some throw back records that put us in the mood. Bed/bedding was great, good shower pressure and products.
Each afternoon we would hang out in the common spaces and firepits and enjoy a glass of wine, 'smores and meeting other travelers.
The hotel is very close to town, you can walk. They also have bikes to take around.
