"Still the best place to stay in Poole. Shower was awesome, enough room to get a rugby union team in!!! Great location near the restaurants on the Quay and a ten minute walk from the train station. Deluxe Room was very spacious and had an iron bath in the corner!! However, mattress was too soft and the pillows too 'fluffy'. Just a personal note, but we needed hard mattresses and 'dull' pillows. Breakfast is over-priced (plenty of coffee shops/delicatessens in Poole), but if you need to eat one,...

"We did enjoy our stay at Harbour Heights, although parts of the hotel feel a little tired and in need of some updating. Unfortunately, some members of staff could also benefit from further customer service training, as at times we felt more like an inconvenience than valued guests. The restaurant was excellent, so was the outdoor swimming pool. The only thing that wasn't great was a corporate party taking place underneath our room which we were not told about at the point of booking. "For a midweek night away or to be fair anytime away you can’t go wrong with Derby Manor. The rooms are excellent tidy and cleaned. The staff go over and above to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The breakfast caters for all dietary requirements so you will not go hungry. Would I go back again In. Heartbeat."

"Great location. Good reception. Great food. Room great apart from view out of window. Could not use pool etc as was not advised there was staff training so not open in the afternoon. Only knew staff training when I had got ready and gone down to a notice on the door to enter. Times of pools opening times did not match online to inside times, so never got to visit."
