This is a grand old hotel, right on the western tip of Sandbanks. The balcony views of Poole harbour and Studland are beautiful.
The room was comfortable and well appointed.
The breakfast was a standard hotel buffet that could have been improved to reach the high standards of the rest of the hotel.
everything was perfect this is our 4th stay and will not be our last, but on a negative and we did ask for a budget room but it still cost 164 pounds and there was plenty of room but the windows looked out at a wall no air we used the small fan provided no natural light very dark sorry to complain but i think the over all feel of the hotel out ways the problem of the room 107.
The food, staff and the beautiful location fantastic.

The Haven is situated in an enviable position however the overall impression of the hotel comes across as quite tired and a little dated. The shower was very poor with a weak stream going from hot to cold. We were woken in the morning at 6.30 to the very noisy laundry lorry collecting and dropping off. To add to this our sleep had already been interrupted due to the fire alarm going off at midnight, no fire but unexplained. Staff were polite and dealt with a housekeeping issue efficiently. Breakfast was in a room with a view! Looking out at the sea. Food was tasty and adequate.
The Haven is in a wonderful position at the entrance to to Poole Harbour.
Staff are welcoming and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and the whole hotel is clean.
Did not eat there this trip but only because the are some many restaurants to try locally in and around Poole.

Location is excellent and the staff are helpful
However attention needs to be be made in regards to the property and rooms. That being said we will be back.
Great location with out outstanding sea views. . Breakfast very good. Room was clean. Bathroom needed to be updated with improved shower . Pleasant, helpful staff.
The location of the hotel is suburb.
The hotel is lovely but does need an update, ie. a lick of paint etc. The room was nice and clean, the bar area and restaurant were lovely, breakfast was nice and fresh and the views from the terrace were amazing.
Overall we had a wonderful 3 day break!
Would definitely come back!!
We were so pleased with everything. Our room was and very large along with a very large bathroom with lovely thick white towels. The breakfast you had so much to pick from. Evening meal was excellent. The staff have all been very helpful nothing to much trouble. In fact we throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend a stay there
The reception team were so friendly and helpful, so lovely.
The outdoor pool was really hot and clean with plenty of space
The bar area was great with beautiful views over the sea although there was a problem with the draught beers when we stayed and the staff didn’t seem very helpful or well trained
The room was comfortable but a little dated
Room had frosted windows to hide the view into the central area and dirty flaking exterior paint etc
EV chargers very expensive.
Breakfast staff not much attention to detail, not keeping things topped up etc.
Glass bins emptied early in the morning (contrary to hotels own policies) which was very noisy.
Hot tub and pool area were nice though.
The location was very good for a quiet break & watching the chair ferry and other boats from the restaurant was interesting. The very small lift was not very reliable for those who needed it & took a number of goes to get it to work when leaving with our cases. The ‘courtyard’ view from our room was into the inner part of the hotel & was quite noisy when bottles were being disposed of.
There was a limited menu in the restaurant which was the same all week. We only managed to find a couple of nearby places to eat, neither of which were within comfortable walking distance.
The hotel itself is clean & comfortable & the staff were friendly.

Stayed for one night over the weekend. The staff were helpful and attentive and the hotel is in a fabulous location which is reflected in the price, however probably once a prestigious high end hotel in its time, the property now appears tired and unloved.
Having paid for breakfast in the price of the room we felt let down by the standard provided. Expectations were for a fresh hot cooked breakfast, however it was a self-service buffet style, full of choice but all served cold. We had expected tea and coffee table service yet this was also self service from a machine.
