Fabulous place to stay, central and the staff are so very friendly. Fantastic breakfast. Excellent rate and definitely will come back to stay again. Stayed two nights and just FYI the Hop Inn do great food too.

The Chocolate Box is a lovely unique hotel. It has a very welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious too. We would definitely stay here again.

It was within easy walking distance to the seafront and town. Plenty to eat and do. Staff were friendly and room was clean.

A very warm welcome and a lovely room. Bed was comfy and the hotel was quiet for a good night's sleep. A short walk to the beach and pier, and also not too far to the town centre. My only negative was the bathroom is tiny. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Good for a short stay

The room was bright and clean. Furniture and furnishings were in very good condition. The bathroom was clean and more functional - showers was very narrow to stand in. Overalla very pleasant place to stay for a few days.

Very helpful staff and very helpful with breakfast options , eg gluten free, vegetarian, etc. Indian next door, Thai round the corner and pub dinning on corner, Italian across the road, french in the Marriott past the Thai, all very handy, plus town centre down hill, not far. Room cosy and clean, onsite parking available. We will be happy to return here

Nice and quiet. Close too beach and local shops 7 minutes walk. Hotel was pleasantly peaceful. Didnt see too much staff presence. Breakfast held in two slots. Great stay for short break.

The staff were very friendly. My room was small, but not a problem as I only stayed for 2 nights, so didn't have much luggage. The room & common areas were very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was top quality! Very short walk to the beach.

Comfortable boutique hotel. Lovely staff

Lovely stay

Perfect location for what I wanted to be able to do. Room was ‘cosy’ smallish but I was travelling alone so not an issue. Price was reasonable and took that into account so not a complaint just an observation. Parking not as difficult as I expected (midweek). Very warm welcome and I felt everything had been thought of in advance.

EXCELLENT SHORT STAY

Very comfortable bed & room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had ground floor room and were very happy that we didn’t have stairs to climb. Breakfast was excellent, very well cooked and served hot. Only criticism I could make if I had to make one is, no bar and no possibility of snack or sandwich during the day or evening which would have made it 5* in my view. Manuela on reception was brilliant.

Surround area needs attention - clear up and cleaning. Internally the theme and colour schemes are great but the rooms are tired and need some TLC. The breakfast and breakfast room are excellent, however there has been a reduction in the amount of chocolates provided in the room and at reception compared to our previous visit.

The photos on the web site are deceiving it might look good but in reality the decor is very poor. It needs a freshen up the whole place looks really tired. No staff on site only the maintenance man who was very helpful. Would not recommend.

Beautiful place to stay by the sea

We had a wonderful stay, a welcoming arrival and any queries we had were dealt with both before our stay and during our stay. There is limited parking at the hotel and involves a bit of tetris parking, however I cannot see how this could be resolved given the location and size of the hotel. The Chocolate Box was one of a few hotels that included some on site parking, there is a paid car park near by as well , you just need to be prepared in advance of the possibility of not getting parked on site . The bed was extremely comfortable and room was nicely furnished. I didn't notice any noise from outside or other guests either. It was an easy walk to the sea front and town centre. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

Such a lovely hotel

The hotel is at a great location. Just a few minutes to the beach and a few minutes to the center indeed. The owner of the hotel is such a lovely lady who bakes irresistible fabulous croissants and tasty breakfast dishes. The room was so clean and they put chocolates and various tea/coffee/hot chocolate options in the room. If I go to Bournemouth again, I will definitely stay this cozy and lovely hotel.
