"Cannot fault the Halfway House Pub. Stayed here for 4 nights..Friendly welcome shown our room by Mike. All staff friendly and helpful. Room was excellent spotless and uensuite was great. Breakfast was very good. Ate here twice in the evening and food was excellent. Great evening spent listening to the Sea Shanty choir. Dog friendly.. No car park but public car park £5 for 24 hours. Will definitely be staying again. Thanks to all staff at the Halfway House."

"Great hotel, clean, comfortable, excellent staff, great breakfast, excellent location for Plymouth arena"

"Easy, child friendly and central. Could do with a better lounge."

"A perfect place for exploring Plymouth. Very friendly service, clean rooms."

"The room was utilitarian, at best, and cold. Staff were unable to get the heat turned on. After 2 days of requests a space heater was finally provided."

"Before I booked the room I rang the Hotel has I was booking a room for 3 people and asked if a settee bed was also available in the room so they would not have to share a room and was told that a pull out bed/Cot bed could be provided.Once told this having checked other hotels I went ahead and booked and pain in full.when I got to the hotel and spoke to the receptionist/manager they told me this was not possible and I must have spoken to the reservation team that take over after 5pm even though...

"Lovely place, lovely setting. Convenient for a Plymouth but quiet and picturesque, fantastic walks along the Yealm. And a great pub."

"Clean room, helpful staff, appropriate amenities. Parking was a little issue but this was outside of the staff’s control and they provided appropriate alternative parking as our initial space was taken by a member of the public"
