"Tired rooms, staff not particularly enthusiastic or communicative, slow to respond to requests for basics like towels and toilet paper, most of the focus on the glitzy casino attached, and bedbugs. This wouldn't pass inspection as a three-star in most Western countries. On the plus side, the breakfast was well done, there's a good restaurant next door (Happy) with contrastingly great service (so it is possible), and it's a short walk into the town centre and other attractions."

"This place is Awesome!!! It is a small boutique hotel located right on the edge of Old Town. The owner, Dimitar, was there to greet us upon our arrival. He took the time to explain all of the points of interest in the area and even gave us excellent suggestions on where to eat. He even suggested a great hotel to stay at on our next stop, which was Veliko Tarnovo. His place is like a museum and he treats everyone like family. He even joined us for breakfast. You won't be disappointed with this...
