"This was one of the most unique hotel experiences we have ever had, we loved it! The boat was beautifully renovated, the room was small but comfortable. We loved the outdoor seating and the bar/breakfast room areas."

"I cannot fault the Fingal hotel in any way. Booked this as part of our mini moon after getting married in Scotland and it really lived up to expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and engaging, giving us tips on sights and restaurants in the area. The room itself (luxury cabin) was perfect for us, tastefully decorated and with a door going onto the deck upfront. We both slept really well and the mattress quality was excellent. "Staff were friendly, helpful. Bus very handy. Would definitely recommend for anyone who doesn’t need to be in town. Would have been helpful to know there aren’t any restaurants or pubs in close proximity. A list of those nearby with walking or commuting times would have been helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at 4 Friends. Thank you."

"Perfect location for the event we travelled for, tram stop into city is just outside. Room was clean and comfortable for our one night stay. Check in was easy, host was friendly and helpful. Provided us with water, croissant and the famous Irn Bru in the room. Would definitely stay again if have any other events in Edinburgh."

"Le gustó que nos tocó estaba limpio, tenía hasta eléctrica para calentar agua, sobres de café, té, leche y azúcar, las cuatro camas estaban cómodas y la limpieza en general estaba bien. Tiene una televisión, calefacción, plancha y ventilador pequeño. En general la estancia estuvo bien para el precio que pagamos. Lo malo es que estaba en el segundo piso y no hay escaleras, pero no es algo que sea relevante a menos que viajes con personas de edad avanzada o con algún impedimento para caminar."

"Excellent location 3 minute walk to tram stop and grocery store. Walkable distance to royal mile. Spotless apartment with tea, coffee, water , milk provided. Only negatives were that milk expired during our 2 night stay and pillows are very bulky of you like a flat pillow. Other than that perfect. "

"This was a genuinely pleasant stay. The hotel was easily reached from Waverley, with a number of buses taking about 20 minutes to reach the hotel. The welcome in the hotel was friendly and engaging, and the room was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Checkout was also a dream too. There's a Morrisons about a 2 minute walk from the hotel too. Definitely recommended. "

"This guest is a really lovely place to stay, 20 minute walk from Wavery train station, plenty of places to eat 5-10 mins walk away. The building itself is stunning and the continental breakfast is a bonus we weren’t expecting!"
