"It's a lovely setting where the hotel is situated and a place you might not be aware of even if you know the area well. We stayed mostly because a lot of the large chain places were charging a lot more for the weekend and I didn't mind driving to the event we were attending. The parking is very limited as expected in a central location. Otherwise there were no issues. Parking at the station is reasonably priced and only a 5 minute walk."

"Good location and most of the staff will go out of their way to be as helpful as possible. The WiFi coverage is inconsistent with blind WiFi spot in the hotel. Standard breakfast including hot cooked breakfast. While the room is dated and the mattress probably need replacement soon, it was clean. No air-conditioning but had a table fan which it is greatly appreciated."

"My mother and I stayed in a room with two queen beds. Very clean, beds were so comfortable, we both had a tremendous night sleep. The air con was a little slow but worked all the same. The staff on both days we're helpful, very polite and kind. The breakfast was hot and fresh and staff were responsive to our needs as well as the needs of others with clearing plates, getting extra bread, to go cups etc. Only criticism i can make is the bar didn't take cash and we don't really use card. "Hotel was let down by a touch of paint. Window sill room 210 needs touching up, swimming pool ceiling by changing rooms entrance badly needs painting."

"The location of the property is fantastic. The biggest disappointment was we stayed over a very hot weekend and there was no installed air-conditioning therefore a Mobile Aircon unit was brought to the room but it didn’t work and the room was absolutely sweltering all weekend. We couldn’t sleep during the heat and it spoilt our stay."
