"The property was very pretty. We had a classic suite, which was actually two adjoining rooms, so it was very spacious,with two bathrooms, a great bargain. We had dinner there once, and my meal was very good, but my wife's was awful. She had bthe cabrito, which was nothing but bones and tough sinew which she couldn't cut with a knife, no meat. But the breakfasts were great, and our stay was very pleasant overall."

"This is a very special property. Upon check in, we were told the legend of Pedro and Innes, a tragic and romantic story that allegedly took place here. This set the tone for our exploration of this grand and historic accommodation. The public lounges are exquisite, and the library is full of old-world charm. "This is a giant, rambling old mansion that has been converted into lodging. I wish we'd had more time to discuss its history with our host Maria. We wound up here because our original choice had a fire, and we had to find a place at the last minute. We were here to tour the university and it's about a 25 minute hike. In the end, our room was comfy, cool and quiet, and that's what's important to us. BTW, Uber works really well in Coimbra."
