"The staff here is absolutely fantastic! Even though our trip started a bit bumpy, they totally turned it around and made us feel so welcome and at home. Their hospitality was beyond amazing, and they were super accommodating to everything we needed. We're definitely coming back when we're in the La Fortuna area! They even helped us plan activities and surprised my sister for her birthday, which was so sweet! Big shout-out to Alejandro, Jimmy, Carlos, and Victor! Pura Vida !"

"To start off we did not get the superior room with volcano view like we originally booked. The staff made it difficult to correct this and finally agreed on a slightly better room but nothing like the photos so please be aware of this. It was clean we did end up with a balcony which is good but took a lot of demanding and fighting for because they were about to give us a dingy room. Breakfast was simple and limited but did the job. It was a beautiful experience the swim up bar and hot tubs were a must. BE CAREFUL WITH THE SLIDE I hit my head because there is a sharp turn at the end and it goes very fast."

"Just returned from a stay at Tabacón. No lengthy review necessary it’s a perfect place to stay when in the Fortuna/Arenal area. The hotel has everything you need, is well maintained, great food and a staff beyond friendly and helpful. The room are clean but use a few upgrades here and there (tv in one room was dated compare with our daughter’s room with brand new tv). That’s a frivolous feature though, the thermal hot springs and the access the hotel provides is wonderful, constant short shuttle ride in a robe and in you are in the sultry spring water and awesome relaxing pools features. Concierge can get you booked in any activity or adventure you desire and there are many. Enjoyed a great 1/2 day boating and paddling onLake Arenal was a treat beautiful scenery and wildlife. Had a really nice stay look forward to returning someday."
