List of things the hotel claims to have but does not or are out of order: Free airport transfer/Any airport transfer at all. Sauna Steam room Pool table Safe in room Shower curtain Robes and slippers in deluxe room A variety of breakfast "buffet" Overall you get what you pay for, barely. And certainly not what you're told you'll get on the website. All photos are old and the place has not been maintained well since they were taken. Very dissapointing indeed.

9 night stay

3rd or 4th time I have stayed at the Mind Resort. Staff is always freindly & takes care of me. I return here mainly because their pool and spa is excellent. Large clean pool with lots of plants and palm trees. Pool chairs & towels are always available, and the sauna & steam room are there for use too. Beer and cocktails are fairly priced. I book a large room with kitchenette so I can enjoy some meals in the room. There is a 24hr English movie channel with pretty recent movies. Bathrooms are pretty average, but cleaned & re-supplied daily, as well as room cleaned. Breakfast is good, I usely have fried eggs and toast, but this time French toast & pancakes were available. They have just completed construction of a new bar and deck, with nice trees and gardens, and a large water fountain. It is pretty nice, especially at night. I have stayed at Hotels near the beach & walking street, and I've stayed at another resort but the Mind Resort fits me pretty good & for the price of a room it is a diamond in the rough.

Hotel is open and roomy, with a great pool and spa area. my room was a deluxe with kitchen, loved it with large refrigerator. No smoking room but they provide a ashtray out on the balcony. Breakfast was pretty good fried eggs and toast, with fruit and juices. There was some Asian dishes also for the large amount of Chinese guests. Location is quiet but still within walking distance to a couple markets and good bars. The hotel had some renovations and updating being done; which is going to be a big plus for future guests. I truely enjoyed the pool area, it is huge with palm trees and nice tiled patio.

Don't Stay Here!

Hotel Reception staff and Management were awful. No English comprehension at all. Worst hotel experience I have had. Charges on bill that were not mine that they refused to move. Waiting staff were unfamiliar with their own menu. Waited half an hour for a diet coke and ended up with a tonic water. I could go on for hours.

Nice place great pool area.

Stayed 8 nights while on holiday. I stayed on the 6th foor, balcony looked down onto the pool area. Front entrance had a good view of the city. In room movie channel and internet worked great. This was my forth trip to Thailand and the second time I have stayed at the Mind Resort. Staff was always nice and helpful. Breakfast was included and I went down between 7 -8am each morning. Plenty to eat. I am not a big spender, but have stayed in Phuket at two 5-star hotels. The mind Resort is great value and very relaxing atmosphere. Yes there are other hotels closer to the nightlife and beach areas, but for 10baht or a 15-20 minute walk you can be in the middle of it all. For a quiet place to avoid the hustle this is pretty good. I'm always looking for a better deal, but for now The Mind Resort is great.

The hotel is not bad for the cost. The pool is ok although it doesn't receive much sun. The gym is equipped with what you need. I had it to myself every time I used it. The room was cleaned daily. There's a couple of ok restaurants within walking distance. Bad points are the walls are quite thin. Other people seem to have to slam the doors early & late. If you have a room at the back you can hear a local bar until 4.00am. The air conn is noisy & doesn't work well. We found most of the staff friendly enough until we checked out. A different woman was working on the desk & was quite rude. We asked if we could get a taxi. She asked where we wanted to go so we told her the bus station, she said something in Thai to a colleague pointing & laughing at us then said get one yourself. There aren't many passing during the day & we ended up walking a mile with our bags to get one.
