"I was promised Wi-fi, but it took 3 days before I was able to connect because the Wi-fi service had not been paid by the owner. The windows did not stay open, and needed something to keep them open, which was not supplied. The kitchen was bare of necesities for food preparation (e.g., oi, spices). Communication always took a long time to get a response. TV channels and aps were limited."

"Excellent, very reasonably priced accommodation in Santiago's neighbourhood teeming with students.
Plenty of reasonably priced, good quality restaurants in the vicinity.
The town's historical centre is 10 minutes away by walking.
The hosts are friendly, and your breakfast (very nice!) will be delivered to your room at the time of your choice.
RECOMMENDED!!"

"Personally, I will never stay here again!
I stayed at the Residencial Metro Republica, during the first month of winter and it was a cold week. Having said that, it was SOOO cold in the room (You are rationed “Heat” from 7pm to 11 pm). If you wake up early or need to go to the bathroom, your room will be frigid. The heat you are given during the permitted hours is weak. You have to huddle beneath the covers in the morning and evening hours. I ended up sleeping in my down jacket just to keep...

"It was an awesome hostal experience with a cool outside patio area (with a nice TV) and plenty of friendly people throughout. The bathrooms were large, spacious and nice. The staff was friendly, had great language skills and it was centrally located to many places to visit, shop and travel. "

"Hostel is in a beautiful old building that has lots of character. It definitely makes me wonder what it used to be in the past. Good location, short walking distance to Plaza de Armas y Plaza de La Constitution. I had a private room with private bath on the first floor. Keyless entry which is very convenient. I came at the start of Chile’s winter. It was cold. They do have space heaters. Mine stopped working in the middle of the night, but they gave me a new one the next day. Everyone who worked...

"The staff is great, location is prime. It is close to pretty much everything you'd want to see in the city with a metro station within 50 yards and a bus station literally outside the door. The condition of the property is not the best, lightning is dim and very basic."

"It is very conveniently located. Noise in general was way too much. AC unit and street noise. People are friendly. Would recommend for people with families. Internet was surprisingly good."

"It is a unique property; definitely a boutique hotel, which I prefer. I would recommend you ask for a 2nd or 3rd floor. My room on the 1st floor was right on the street with no privacy or natural light unless I opened the shutters.
Also, I arrived by taxi at night. As we drove through the surrounding neighbourhood, the "historic" area was more ghetto than I expected from their photos. Many of the older buildings that would have been grand back in the day, are empty, in need of major repair. Certainly the Concha Y Toro had been beautifully restored, renovated!
The front desk staff were wonderful, also. I did climb the stairs to their rooftop. Overall, a very pleasant stay..

"El lugar es hermoso... Para que la estadía fuera más confortable deberían incorporar algunas cositas como lugares para poner la maletas. Perchero etcétera. Tampoco hay ni siquiera una silla pequeñas cositas que harían mucho más confortable la estadía por lo demás todo muy bien"
