I’ve stayed at this hotel several times before and had no complaints. This time, I came with my service dog, and everything seemed fine — until bedtime.
When I got into bed, I found hair on the sheets and pillows, plus stains on the mattress cover that made it obvious it hadn’t been changed or cleaned. There were also marks on the headboard that looked like blood. I contacted the front desk and they offered to switch rooms or bring fresh sheets, but it was nearly 3 a.m. and I was too exhausted to pack everything up and move.
I thought that would be the worst of it, but the second night, I noticed my dog was scratching nonstop. I checked him and found a flea — then more. He was covered. The room had carpet, but I never expected anything like this. I ended up bathing him repeatedly, and each time more fleas came out. I even got bitten on my foot.
I reported everything to the front desk again, but all I got was, “We’ll pass the message along.” No real apology, no follow-up, no action.
I booked this trip to relax, not to deal with dirty bedding, flea infestations, and sleepless nights. I’m sharing this so management takes it seriously and no other guest has to go through what I did.
