"Very good for an overnight stay before catching a ferry. The menu and the quality of food at the evening meal was excellent. Croissants, coffee and cereal offered in the morning with hot food if requested. "
"This was an expensive stay. We paid £415 for 3 of us staying in 1 room. The third person was in a sofa bed and didn’t get a great sleep. The mattress on the sofa bed was really thin and hard. You don’t expect this for a £415 cost. Breakfast was ok not brilliant. Won’t be returning"
"Single room looked out on to an air conditioning unit outside on the roof and into a house on other side of road. Kept curtains shut as nothing to look at. Watermarks in the ceiling. Shower riser fell on me in the shower. Staff unengaging in conversation. No pleasantries. No welcome. Female solo traveller and engaging, friendly customer service is everything when you visit a hotel. On check out no one answered the bell on the desk. I had to find a waiter and let them know I left my key on the desk. Disinterested in conversation and only said ok."
"Budget room is in the roof space there is no lift if needed. Tv reception is terrible and there is no noise insulation between the rooms. Shower is good but bathroom needs an upgrade . £34 for 2 breakfasts so we did not bother."
"Room was clean but very, very small. The car park has always been a problem but hotel was obviously pretty busy so no parking spaces left. I had to park down the road, 3-4 minute walk back to the hotel with my bag to get checked in. Breakfast buffet is a plus...would stay again as reasonable standard but there are more comfortable places to stay"
"Great 19th century Scottish inn next to the water with a lighthouse view. Excellent food, a cozy bar, and conveniently located within 60-90 minutes from all points of the island"
"Absolutely amazing views from the apartment. Fully equipped kitchen, which came in handy since it’s not super close to any restaurants. We truly enjoyed our time here."
"Nice location, very friendly staff. However, the place is very old, carpet was so stained I didn’t dare to walk barefoot. Mattress was brick hard. We arrived at night and next day’s breakfast bread was already out. The price is absolutely outrageous for what you’re getting here."
