House Of Juniper - The Manse
8/10 Good
"The room was nice but the manse itself was “cool” in character. There is no lobby or sitting area outside of your room and there is no person at the front desk to ask questions of. The hair dryer was not working properly and honestly, in the morning, there was no one I could ask for a replacement, short of restaurant staff. Restaurant staff were lovely and breakfast was great. Bedding was great as was the bed. Bathroom was very tiny. This is not a luxury accommodation as led to believe. Nice but I don’t think it was worth the price that we paid."

"This property is absolutely amazing! The positioning of the individual rooms on the hillside is fantastic. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable and its simplicity is lovely. The only thing I would say, and this is for a number of the hotels I’ve stayed at in Scotland ….the public areas like the bar and sitting areas like the restaurants are a bit worn, and in some cases, not clean enough. In the bar, they were spills on the chairs and the couches staining the fabrics, but they didn’t simply clean them. I love the place, but the attention to detail would put it over the top."

"Everything at Dunollie Hotel was perfect - location with parking, small but comfy single room, heat from radiator, The Best Shower - powerful with very hot water. Breakfast was Everything you could want and the staff were charming and attentive."
Kinloch Ainort Apartments

"Beautiful view from the property. My only concerns were that the lock was difficult to close and that the shower setup caused the bathroom to flood very easily. But the property itself was stunning with such a serene view and great communication from the host. There were also sheep!!"

"The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is great. The scenery is amazing. Very handy if visiting Mallaig. It is only 5 minutes away. Also right across the road from the train station."

"Very clean room, convenient location and staff excellent- they went out of their way to make us welcome. We had to check out before breakfast started so they put together a lovely packed lunch for us and showed us the fridge to store it overnight. Rooms look recently fitted and decorated, hallway was a bit tired and could be done up. Would have liked the external door to be secured. No onsite parking but we found the East Bay carpark is not too far and there’s no charge. Otherwise a fantastic stay and we would recommend."
