"This is a bigger hotel that seems to cater to business travelers rather than offering a European hotel experience. Lots of little amenities. Very clean and nice. Dining at the hotel was expensive. "My daughter and I stayed at the Aquila Atlantis Hotel during our visit to Heraklion. While it didn't have the unique character and intimate atmosphere of some of the boutique hotels we stayed at elsewhere in Greece, it was still a comfortable and convenient place to stay. The hotel's biggest strengths are its location and amenities. It was easy to walk to many of Heraklion's attractions, restaurants, and the waterfront, making it a good base for exploring the city. The property is modern, well-maintained, and offers the services and facilities you would expect from a larger hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for our needs. The staff was professional and helpful throughout our stay, and check-in and check-out were both smooth and efficient. For travelers looking for a full-service hotel in a central location, Aquila Atlantis is a solid choice. It may not offer the charm, history, or personalized feel of a boutique property, but it delivers what it promises: a comfortable stay, good service, and a convenient location for exploring Heraklion. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to visitors who prefer a larger hotel experience or need a convenient base before exploring the rest of Crete."

"This was by far our favorite stay in all of Greece including Athens, nafplio, Paros and Santorini. It is a Hyatt brand and built on top of what was an old, ancient minoan village. They did A great job maintaining the original characteristics of the site, including Stone that's exposed, which is beautiful. there are two beautiful pools as well, and the Villa had more space than we needed, a beautiful kitchen, updated bathrooms and a private hot tub on our deck, one of our decks, LOL. They had a lovely, included, buffet style breakfast with fresh eggs and pastries and spinach pie and more. It was indulgent and would have cost $55 per person in the US, easily. Overall, the staff was so accommodating and we may return to Crete just to stay here again. Highly recommended."

"Staying here was the highlight of our trip to Greece. We were here with two college aged children. We did the wine tour, which was fabulous! The breakfast is to die for! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had an epic experience. Only two things to be aware of... 1. There were a number of slow moving, hard shelled small bugs. We realized it was just part of being in the middle of a vineyard and my husband and son made a game of how many they scooped up and released outside each evening. 2. One of the twin beds squeaks a lot. Thankfully my daughter was a good sport about it. And it didn't detract from the 99% of the stay that was amazing! Hope you create beautiful family memories there like we did!"

"The villas was very clean, spacious and modern. We were there March 12-16 so very early in the season. The pools were closed which I didn’t know until getting there as it was shown when I booked that heated pools were all year round. There was apparently a sandstorm from Africa for a week prior to us coming which then closed the pools. The host offered us an extra night free however we already had our flights back to Athens booked so couldn’t take advantage of that. Michaelis offered a dinner for the 4 of us so we took him up on that offer and it was excellent. The location was pretty good, 20 min from Heraklion, beaches, about 40 min to the CreteAquarium. It’s a pretty quiet area that you are in, the locals are quite friendly and helpful I would stay again as long as the pool was open as my kids felt the disappointment with it not being open. "
