リーズナブルな値段で夕食、朝食ビュッフェが付いているのは素晴らしい。 滞在したのは全国猛暑日の7月中旬。 湯元温泉周辺は、朝の気温は13度、昼は25度程度。朝晩は涼しいと言うより少し寒かったですね。 洋室ツールームに滞在しましたけど、設備はそれなりに清潔で整っていました。 ただし、備え付けの非常灯が電池切れ？で使えなかったです。 レストランのスタッフ始め、スタッフは外国人が多かったですが、非常に良く教育されていて、お客様への対応は全く問題なかったと思います。 露天風呂は、15時ごろは若干緑がかった透明なお湯。夜間は、硫黄温泉独特の白濁のお湯になっていました。空気に触れると白くなるとの事。 ホテルの部屋数が多いので、お風呂も大きく快適でした。お勧めです。 周囲温泉街のような、独特の雰囲気はなく、とにかく静かにのんびり過ごしたい方向けです。 ホテルから歩いて行ける温泉の源泉には必ず行くべきだと思います。何か不思議さを感じました。 あと、ハイキングや登山の方は別として、周囲の中禅寺湖、竜頭の滝、湯滝、戦場ヶ原、白根山ロープウェー、丸沼湖…なる場合は、やはり車で行かないと不便ですね。

部屋、風呂、食事共に満足したが、部屋の布団は自分で敷くスタイルでガッカリ。せめてシーツくらいつけておいてくれればいいが、シーツから自分で準備するスタイル。これではせっかく旅行に来たのに家と変わらない。どのみち部屋の端に布団が置いてあるのなら初めから敷いておく選択肢の方が良いと思うが。せっかく他は良いのに残念でした。

冬季の宿泊は食事付きがプランが無く素泊まりだけだが、持ち込んだレンジ対応の食品で全ての食事ができ快適な滞在が出来た。イートインの場所に電子レンジが４台あり「大人のままごと」のような食事で楽しめた。部屋も広く清潔で充分に寛げた。食事付きのシーズンでも素泊まりで訪れ楽しみたい。
