The hotel is well kept and in a great, centralized location that was easy walking distance to everything. The staff was extemely friendly and helped with additional accomodations I needed. And the price was very fair.

Very convenient location near the train station (if you plan on hopping around to other towns). The hotel seems to have been renovated recently- clean design but absolutely zero sound proofing between the walls… staff was very friendly and overall it was a great stay - but I think the sound proofing definitely needs work.

Melissa at the front desk was excellent. She went above and beyond to make sure my stay was pleasant. The room was small but nice. The only issue is that it’s across the street from the train tracks. The noise isn’t too bad with the windows closed.

Small, comfortable, and fantastic staff

This was a last minute stay booked due to an issue with our local Airbnb, but it was exactly what I needed - the room was small but perfectly comfortable and had everything I could want to relax and decompress. The only small caveat is that the walls are quite thin, so you can hear the conversations next door pretty clearly, but luckily I had quiet neighbours :) The thing that made this stay so good was Nina on reception - she was so kind, welcoming, and helpful - she is a real asset to the property and turned what would have been a fairly basic visit into something exceptional.

Great location—close to the train station, tram stop, supermarkets, and restaurants. However, it’s right next to the train tracks, so it can get noisy. The street outside can feel a bit sketchy at times with people hanging around, but I felt safe during my stay. The room is small, but for the price, it’s hard to complain.

The staff at Sonder was exceptional. They went above and beyond to make certain our stay was exceptional. There was always a warm smile and greeting everytime we returned to the hotel. They offered advice on what to do and where to go along with always asking if there was anything additional they could do. We couldnt have asked for a kinder group of people including the manager that shared her dog Olga with everyone as well.

Shocking lack of soundproofing in this hotel

The lack of soundproofing in Yelo Marengo hotel is absolutely shocking. We stayed here in August 2025 and were very disappointed by the noise levels. The sound insulation between rooms was so poor that we could clearly hear not only our neighbors’ conversations, but also intimate noises. This was extremely disruptive and embarrassing, and certainly not what you would expect. Also, we stayed for over a week and our bedsheets were not changed once! I guess we could have raised this with staff, however after 4th day it became amusing and we decided to wait and see how long this hotel is happy to go without changing customers bedsheets. Forever, it seems. On the positive side, the hotel's location is fantastic. All the shops and amenities are nearby and the train station is basically across the road. Also, the hotel is beautiful refurbished and the décor is delightful. I hope management addresses these issues, because until then I cannot recommend this hotel for guests who expect comfort and privacy during their stay.
