"A delight! What a wonderful boutique hotel with an incredible location. The cafe was an unexpected bonus! Wonderful smoothies and fresh food. I would definitely come back."

"A great place within steps to the beach. Ambiance of the 19 th century hotel/inn is fantastic. Shower was superb- strong and massaging. One issue to address is lack of hot water for tea outside of breakfast hours. Very uncomfortable to Microwave water in a paper cup. Hotels normally give guests this kind of service allowing to prepare a cup Of cocoa, apple cider or tea. Also if management finds providing regular cups too costly, a suggestion to sell a cup with insignia of the inn. I think a lot...

"An amazing resort! Perfect for the solo traveler and avid shopper. Easy walk to fashion island and the bell staff is excellent! I also loved the bar and service. I will definitely return!"

"Wonderful experience!"

"I have stayed at this hotel a few times now. It seems to be getting better. the restaurant was a bit better. But, what was really noticeable was the staff here is extremely good! They went out of there way to be of service on several occasions. Also, a hit tip to valet, I had a special car and they new what to do, which lessens my anxiety! Good job Lido. BTW, I also stayed at the BH hotel on this trip as well, so the Lido did well!"

"This is a budget option with no amenities, mediocre rooms, and limited staff. The only positive here would be the location– situated just a few minutes walk from Newport Beach and nearby many restaurants and shops."

"Very clean I been here many time good location"

"I was initially charged $45 for overnight parking, but since the AC/heater in my room wasn't working properly, they kindly waived the parking fee. Overall, my stay was fine, but the restaurant service was terrible."

"Anderson is such a gracious host! My wife and I look forward to our next stay at The Tides in Laguna Beach."

"I love this location. It is so close to the beach, you cannot beat it! And you cannot beat the views! Cozy and convenient...hidden gem!"

"Lovely property that was about to start a major renovation project. It was beautiful and well maintained up to the minute they were doing renovations. Very impressive. Bar with music is great for lighter dining."

"We had a king with patio side sea view. Room was spacious. Linens were great. Lots of extra touches in the honor bar. Very comfortable. Pool was nice and fire pit in the evening was cozy. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Cookies in the evening and coffee in the morning in the reception. Basic but extremely comfortable and for the price very reasonable. We will definitely stay again."
