"Remote location outside Rayong, in the forest. You need a car to get here. Overall quite ok. They have built a number of new small houses, big space for a cheap price. Not good: Bathroom door is only 160-170cm high. I bang my head sooooo many times. They really should put in new doors. No cleaning! I stayed 1 week for some business in Rayong. "Been coming to Sai Kaew Resort for 16 years. It’s a great location with a very competent and friendly staff. There is major construction going on which we were unaware of. They also moved the breakfast buffet from the location next to the beach to another building which has no view. Finally the food inflation in Thailand is unbelievable and this applies to all tourist locations. It varies between 300 and 800 percent. Yes the numbers are correct. It is a sad development to what I consider the best vacation destination in the world. "

"Note the 'Garden Wing' section is a lovely modern & newer part of this hotel. Room was very spacious with a great layout. Hotel is just across the road from beach. The 'Ocean Wing' section is in a completely separate location on the other side of road approx 500m away which you can use their facilities also but in my opinion it looked a bit dated & run down in the areas surrounding the pool. The local town area is very quiet with not much to do within walking distance. It appears a more popular destination for local Thai families. The beach cleanliness was not up to the standard of many other resorts all over Thailand in my opinion."
