"Hotel is well located and central to the train station—clean and efficient. It would have been a perfectly acceptable stay, except for my experience with the front desk staff. When my daughter misplaced a plastic key card and I needed a replacement to access the room, they threatened to fine me ¥1,000 if all three cards were not returned. Worse, when I asked why they would charge for a disposable card, “Kiran” at the front desk argued with me about the card’s value. Overall, a very cheap way to tarnish an otherwise fine hotel."

"The hotel is excellently located in Shinjuku. If you are new to Tokyo it is a good place to start and Shinjuku station gives easy access to the rest of the city. The breakfast was very good and unique offering everything from French chocolate croissants to Japanese curry. Also comes with a main menu item that was very good. More luxury than I at first thought and I found the room to be very comfortable. The height of the hotel also gives a fantastic view of Tokyo."

"Excellent customer service. Mostly clean rooms and beds… mostly. Stain on our comforter and blonde hairs from previous customers. Walls were a bit dirty. Breakfast was literally not good honestly I don’t know why it’s listed as highly rated. However, I am particular about my food. The coffee, tea and smoothies were good. I also don’t know why it is listed as 5 star hotel? Definitely not. At all. Probably an okay 4 star or a good 3 star. Great service from employees, we had the king size bed - small rooms but that is expected in Tokyo. Good location very close to train stations and convenience stores. Close to Shibuya and Shinjuku by walking less than 30 minutes for most things, but out of the super busy areas. Don’t regret staying, however I will not choose it again based off of the price. They did clean the room everyday and the shower/bath combination was nice with great pressure and hot water. Should not be more than $200 a night in my humble opinion. Nice view from balcony. There is a little walk area. Close to shinjuku garden which was beautiful. Decent hotel, however the listing made it sound a lot nicer than it was. "
