"We had an overall great experience at this resort. The grounds are beautiful and smell wonderful due to the plants planted around the grounds. The beds were comfortable and the view from our room was amazing. The private beach was a great touch as well! The only downsides were that probably 90% of the people staying here were older retired folk and we got awful mosquito bites. Other than that everything was perfect! The store across the street sells bus tickets too so it makes it very easy to get around the island via public transportation."

"Excellent breakfast and helpful ladies at reception. Didn’t use the pool on 5th floor but relaxing, reading and enjoying the view up there was just lovely. Central position of the hotel on the harbour made it easy to take the ferries and go to restaurants and bars. Downside : very noisy with tourists until late in the night, traffic, Vespas and at 5 am rubbish collection. No aircon so you had to open the windows to breathe. Luckily though, no heatwave in April. Get a room on higher floors or at the back."

"Apart from a slightly tired bathroom and the approach to the hotel reception, this is a lovely hotel and we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay here. The staff were great, breakfast was complimentary and excellent and the setting/ ambience of the hotel, once there, was delightful."

"We found this hotel located in a beautiful place, however the property is SO outdated. Our fridge wasn’t working and despite mentioning this to reception it was ignored. The electricity was out for pretty much the whole day, no apology or any notification. The smell of the sewage was horrible in the corridor during this period. The staff were not particularly friendly or informative. The porters were nice and actually offered good advise about the area. The thermal pool was good and the view is stunning. "

"Our stay was fabulous at Mezzatorre. The service staff is spot on. If you’re questioning if it’s worth it - it is. The breakfast was included however we didn’t realize it so we didn’t take advantage of it until the last day and we didn’t really even eat much. Also the thermal spas are included as well. And the bed and toiletries are great as well. We stayed 3 nights and felt like 1 more would have been better. "

"Amerigo and his family were so extremely welcoming to me, and made me feel at home. Amerigo even picked me up when I was lost finding the hotel, and drove me to the ferry when I left. They made me feel very safe and welcome as a solo female traveler. The sea balcony was beautiful, and you can have your breakfast on the water. Walkable to the town centre, with a beach on the way. I will definitely return when I get a chance to come back to Forio. "

"A bit off the beaten path in Casa Micciola, this hotel was oustanding in every way. From decor( recently entirely renovated and it showed in glorious fashion. You felt like an honored guest Breakast buffet included plus eggs to order. The hotel offered shuttie & taxi service plus dining & bar at normal hours. The staff! From the bar to the dining to reception & concierge, your every need wss met the soa! Awesome. Rooftop snacks & bar, elegant pool. See photos. "
