What a brilliant independent hotel in Morzine

What a wonderful hotel, facilities, and team. It's so wonderful to see an independent hotel full! The breakfast spread is great and vast. We opted for dinner every night available and the 3 courses plus cheese was delicious, fresh, varied and didn't need to be rolled to our rooms but felt full. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and salt room were wonderful to use daily to unwind after the slopes and before dinner. The location is quiet and just over the bridge from Super Morzine gondola.

The property was nice. Couple of annoyances 1. We weren’t told we could get the multi pass from the hotel which wasted a lot of time and could have been expensive and additional fees for using sauna was not great. Otherwise, rooms clean and breakfast basic but fine. Location great and swimming pool nice.

The staff were very pleasant, but overall the rooms were very tired. Bathrooms are in need of an upgrade and towels had holes in. It was disappointing not to have a bath, I didn’t even think to check when booking. Nice to have the option of a sauna, but the jacuzzi was too cold to use and you had to request the sauna to be turned on, and only between 3.30-7pm, a bit of an odd and annoying system. Breakfast was very basic. Overall I wasn’t very impressed, and wouldn’t recommend.

Overview of hotel

Used the hotel for a week skiing holiday for a family of 3x in Morzine. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and tidy and supplied with a private room safe. There were plenty of wardrobes but no hooks on the walls to hang damp/wet ski wear which would have been extremely handy to dry clothing out at the end of the day. The bath towels and bath mats have seen better days and were rather tatty. The bath towels were very small and more like hand towels. The bath was extremely narrow with no room to bathe properly sitting/lying down without fear of becoming wedged in the bath. There was no shower curtain or screen, either was there a hook to attach the shower head to so you had to stand and shower holding the shower head above you which was awkward. We used the restaurant once for an evening meal and the food was good. Breakfast was basic offering either continental (cold meat, cheese & bread/croissant) or scrambled/boiled egg option. The hotel offered a steam room, jacuzzi and pool. Both the pool and jacuzzi were luke warm so we had to go to the sauna afterwards to warm up.

Excellent hotel. Exceeded expectations. Stayed on dinner bed and breakfast basis- food was excellent 4 courses and varied of good quality. Staff were friendly- we had an injury and they allowed us to use the communal facilities and shower after check out. Would highly recommend and use again. Thank you

Très bon séjour dans cet hôtel familial proche des remontées et du centre de Morzine. Espace détente avec piscine , sauna et jacuzzi fort apprécié après la journée de ski.

Hôtel très agréable, récemment rénové, on a apprécié les équipements attenants, piscine, sauna, jaccuzi, il dispose également d une salle équipée d une table de billard et d un baby-foot. l hôtel est idéalement situé près du centre du village et des remontées mécaniques, (3mn à pied ) Une affaire de famille très bien tenue, hôtes très sympathiques , à l écoute et attentionnés . Très bon rapport qualité prix

Ski trip

Stayed 4 nights for a ski trip. Very local to What we required e.g. super morzine lift and just across the bridge to town. The bridge was a bit of a surprise not keen on heights so this was a feat on its own let alone the movement when it's busy but was short enough to get across. The hotel was great pool sauna hot tub, we had 2 singles which were a bit short for me 6ft 1in and had a bath with shower attachment would have preferred just a shower but was all very clean and acceptable. Breakfast was standard and nice and dinner was ok 4 courses. But found the cost of drinks wine etc very expensive. Overall great stay loved the hotel would definitely recommend.

Great hotel with lovely staff. Food surpassed expectations. Was quite quiet in the evenings. Great location for Super Morzine lifts to Avoriaz side for skiing, and 10min walk into Morzine. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Lovely alpine lodge

We had a lovely weekend break at Hotel Alpina - the service was fantastic (including ironing shirts at short notice, a free drink while we waited for our room despite being earlier than check in time), lovely comfy room with great views from the balcony. Overall a perfect stay!
