"Room was very clean but parts of decor needed sorting. Bathroom dated but functional. Room was freezing when we arrived we had to turn radiators up, but still chilly. One of windows was drafty so much so the net curtain was moving due to draft. Good supply of tea, coffee etc and more supplied on our 2nd day. Ample parking. Stayed here many times previously to hotel changing hands."

"David is a saint! It was like staying with family if family isn't overbearing or meddlesome. And it's a super comfy bed. The location is about 10-15 minute walk into town center or the entrance to the Chalice Well or footpath up the Tor. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat."

"The hotel was really a hostel and did not match up with images on their website. We were expecting to be staying in a country house hotel not a youth hostel. The only facility we had was wifi. The room was clean but very basic with no ability to make ourselves a tea or coffee without walking down two flights of very steep steps to the kitchen which was a health and safety nightmare - no idea why they could not have put a tea/ coffee station on the top floor.
