Tenri

"I always stay here when I am in Nara. It is right next to the train station so it makes it a walk to get to the main sights but it is awesome you don’t have to carry your luggage far. The spa is great, they have washing machines, the breakfast is amazing, it is super clean, the beds are comfortable, the elevators/guest ratio is good, and it is quiet. Only thing I hate is the light in the entry way is motion detecting…every time you go to the bathroom, it turns on!"

"Fantastic breakfast including fresh breads and Japanese hot dishes. Homemade fresh local tofu. Many organic foods. Close to station and shops and restaurants. Great view of Nara City at night during the happy hour or morning during breakfast. Basic pillow was traditional Japanese pillow filled with beans or grain. Other softer pillows were available from the front reception area. The hotel is working hard to reduce/eliminate carbon footprint. As a traveler with small luggage at the end...

"Staying at AB Hotel is very comfortable. The hotel services include breakfast and spa (on-sen). The receptionist is very helpful and polite. Even though he cannot speak English fluently, he uses Mobile App to translate which works well. It's convenient to access the public transportation, like train and bus. There are many places and restaurants for sightseeing and dining near the hotel. Recommend for travellers. "

"Great staff and location! I accidentally booked a smoking room so we did have a room that smelled like cigarettes. Be ware before you book if you have a smoking room!"

Tourist Information...

"Love the hotel services "

"This was absolutely one of the best stays I’ve ever had in Japan or any place else! The mom and daughter duo who run it are so sweet, helpful and genuine, the room was terrific, and breakfast delicious. The location is right where you want to be, within walking distance of lots of Nara sights and great food. I STRONGLY recommend staying at Matsumae Ryokan if at all possible."

"This is a two star hotel at best. The pictures are a bit deceiving. The actual property itself is very unimpressive. Our room didn't have any views. The price they demand is very high. I paid 150 per night but I can say it's not even worth $75 per night. The check out time is 10AM. They want you to pay 3800 yen for additional hour. They have Japanese hot tub. But you and your spouse can't use since men and women sections are separate. If you want to use together, they want you to pay....
