"The helpful, friendly staff and the old world elegance made me feel welcome and pampered as soon as i arrived. The location is perfect for activities planned in the loop or River North area. It's an easy walk to State Street, Daley Plaza, the Mart and the Theater District. The Legato Lounge is a perfect place to relax and people watch with a cup of coffee from the very nice morning tea and coffee bar, an afternoon tea and scone or an evening cocktail I have stayed twice now and made the decision that it will be my go-to downtown hotel. As a solo traveler I felt very comfortable and love the convenient location. "

"Shower only had hot water about half the time, then lukewarm. This is an older hotel with very small bathroom and dated. For the price, expected better. Beds were comfortable though. Hotel does not have its own parking and the lot behind was full on Friday evening, but was able to park across the street."
