"Great location, lovely hotel. Parking is good, there is a large free car park. The restaurant is good serving great meals. Only bugbear is that the service at breakfast is ok if you've got all day but not great if you want to get a move on. Why aren't you like other hotels where I can help myself to juice and cereal and that will shave 10 - 15 minutes off the time?"

"This hotel was a bit of a surprise, I’d it’s a little quirky, in a good way. The room was clean, large and well decorated. The location is great to visit attractions and just walk to many restaurants, cafes and historic sites. The staff was also super friendly and accommodating. "

"What a great find! Visiting the area for a gig & decided to have 2 nights away. The Great House was a last minute booking but what a wonderful place! Idylic riverside setting in a small village with lovely bar & restaurant. Staff were all very friendly, from the lady who greeted us at reception & upgraded our room to the fabulous housekeeping - the lady with the ted hair deserves a special mention as we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her!!! "On arrival an amazing young lad helped with bags and putting bikes away. Rooms excellent, food excellent. Be nice if breakfast staff was as personable as she was efficient. No hairdryer in room. Overall a fantastic place to stay."

"Lovely place with great location right on the river and easy short walk in to town . Would definetrly return and recommend. If i was being picky the room and bathroom were quite tight but that didnt really bother us personsally. Easy free parking always a good thing so no.complaints from us."

"The staff were amazing, incredibly helpful and friendly. They made sure that the gluten free member of our group was catered for at breakfast. The room was clean, and the beds comfy afrer walking the Thames path. I wiuld stay here again in a heartbeat and am thinking of retyrning with my family due to the location and price. "
