"There isn't a better located hotel anywhere in NYC. Literally attached to Grand Central Station it even has its own entrance into the station. Easy to get anywhere by subway, LIRR or Metro North. Be careful though, it gets rough quick outside. Not necessarily dangerous, but some questionable characters. The lobby is straight out of 1975 and is in DESPERATE need of an upgrade. The floors and rooms are great, but the lobby is dark and very outdated. Theres a small market that they said was open 24/7 but seemed to be closed overnight. One moderate gripe, on our checkout day we had them hold our bags and it was *$4 a bag*. I think that's kind of ridiculous after spending 4 nights there to tack on a per bag charge to just put them in a closet for a few hours? Seemed a little nickle and dime personally."
