"A Gem! Great, clean facilities; good amenities. Helpful staff coordinated airport transfers, an excursion to Lokobe, and scuba for us. Breakfast and dinner buffets were good quality and selection. Overall, we loved it! Note for excursions, it is a separate company embedded in the hotel so that is paid separate from your hotel folio. "

"I had the unfortunate situation when my Land Cruiser broke down in the challenging roads in Madagascar. I called Expedia but they were not much help. Expedia told the only way they could cancel was for them to contact the hotel. Knowing the challenges with calls in Madagascar, I told Expedia I would call myself as I am here in the country. Sandra answered right away and after I explained my situation told me she would consult with Oliver, the property manager the next day as it was almost 10 pm....

"Petit hotel trés agréable à Nosy Be. Les bungalows sont trés jolis et agréables. Point fort, la piscine, qui est grande et belle, extrêmement agréable aprés une journée de balade dans Nosy Be. La plage n'est pas trés belle (les belles plages sont plutôt sur les autres îles autour de Nosy Be), mais c'est quand même un vrai plus d'avoir un accès direct à la mer et le coucher de soleil sur la mer est magnifique ! "Good idea but lacks in execution. The only positives for me are the front desk staff and comfortable bed. On the negatives, the rooms are too dark and stuffy (install dimmers instead), cleanliness can be improved upon... some areas were dusty and there were blood stains (guessing mosquito blood) on parts of the mosquito net and bed sheets, the mosquito net had big holes, mosquito repellent spray was not available, shower inadequate."

" Anjajavy is out of the world but fascinating. If you like nature,animals, you want to be isolated for a period of time,then this is the place to go.We loved it. "What an incredible find in Madagascar. While the property is older, it has the most incredible setting. Booking a superior room is absolutely worth it for the mountain-front views and electricity at all hours. The room itself is massive - the photos online do not do it justice. The bed has a clever mosquito net surrounding the whole "bed room" so you can still move within the net and use the nightstands. The room also has A/C which was fantastic. Didn't even sleep with the curtains closed in...

"Amazing place for relaxation"

"The room we received was very dusty and not clean. There was no electricity except for specific time at night. No hot water at all in any of the rooms I was told. Safe was broken and unusable. The pool water was muggy and you could barely see a few inch into it. It was unusable. "

"Famata lodge was a great stay for a couple of nights. If you are doing the RN7 and want to stay close to the airport, this place may be for you. They upgraded us from the Hemingway to the Eau-La-La which worked great for our family. Lots of sitting space. The pool is nice and relaxing. For dinner, they made vegetarian options for me that were interesting and enjoyable to eat. "

"DO NOT BOOK. The pictures and description are for the Tsienimparihy LODGE and not the HOTEL (both located in Ambalavao). The hotel is a rundown place and is 10$ a night. Neither the hotel or lodge had a reservation in our name although we had a hotels.com reservation. We ended up having to book another hotel in extremis. We were told to book directly through the lodge and advise you to do the same if considering this option."
