The room was well-appointed, the check-in staff were friendly. The breakfast is made to order and there is a variety of Asian and Western options. The night market is a few steps away, and close to all the major sites: Phousi Hill, the various Wats, etc.

A wonderful small property in a great location. Morning market outside of hotel, 3 minutes from Mekong River. The breakfast was delicious withth many choices, and a wonderful staff.

I’d happily stay here again

I very much enjoyed my stay at Golden Lotus Place. It was close to the river, and just a one minute walk to the night market. The morning market is right outside. Despite this it’s very quiet in the room. There was a set menu for breakfast, with twelve choices. I was happy with this. It’s also very close to the main tourist strip of old town.

The Boutique Hotel was very convenient, 2 min walking to Night Market and the Tak Bat and Temples. The staff is great. Always on hand to assist. Polite. The breakfast was very good.

Great location, dirty linens

Our check in was seamless. The front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly. The location is very central and perfect for walking to the morning and night markets. However, the sheets and towels in our room had brown stains on them. That made us uncomfortable and we were grateful to only be staying one night.

They were very accommodating when we asked for a new room due to noise upstairs. The staff was very friendly, nice, and helpful for booking tours/tickets. The rooms themselves are very clean and stocked with amenities. Perfect location for night and morning markets.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel, great location, the night market is probably located no more than 100 meters away from the accommodation, a lot of restaurants nearby, it was definitely a good choice!

Excellent location—the morning street market is right in front but you don’t know it until you step out onto the street. Room was very quiet. I ordered an omelette and fruit for the included breakfast—very good and fresh. Staff are very nice and helpful. I am planning to stay here on my return trip from Muang Gnoi.

Friendly hotel im the mornimg market

This is a small and friendly hotel literally in the middle of the morning market, but it is not noisy. You can have breakfast watching the sellers (nice breakfast with fruit, eggs and drink is included). The rooms are nice and clean, there is also a flatscreen TV. Nice owner who speaks English, Thank you, I will come back soon!

We enjoyed staying at the Golden Lotus Place. It's a lovely authentic hotel in the heart of the old town, very close to the National Museum, Phousi mountain, the night market and the morning market. The delicious breakfast was lovely in the courtyard outside, with morning market stalls right there in front of us :). The staff were very welcoming and super-helpful, speaking both English and Vietnamese for our bicultural family, recommending places to go and helping with shopping suggestions, and ordering a taxi to the airport when we left. Very recommended for a genuine Lao experience.

Staff was very friendly, but extremely limited communicating in English or German. My room was next to reception and al fresco breakfast area and I was never able to open the shades to let in daylight. Place is conveniently located and walking distance to day and night markets, restaurants and the rivers. It is a good place for budget travelers.

Right in the middle of everything. Morning Market right outside the door. Night Market a slow minute walk down the street. Alms giving ceremony around the corner. Mekong a whole 3 minute walk away. Staff is great. Only complaint was no reliable hot water. Might add to the rustic charm of the whole area. Would stay again.

An excellent stay, definitely recommend

It's an excellent location to experience Luang Prabang. It's very close to where the tuk tuk drops you off after the slow boat too. The staff were really helpful, and sorted some train tickets for us at the last minute. They were very transparent about the commission they'd take for it, which was very reasonable. The breakfasts were good and rooms were great

I gave this hotel 5 stars, mainly because the woman who managed the place. I booked this on hotels.com, and there are many amenities listed that do not exist. There is no bar, even though there is a menu in the room advertising beer for sale. I also saw no bikes for use, and the airport transportation was the manager arranging a taxi for you. That being said, the room was good, and the ac was nice. The breakfast was delicious. The location was great! The morning market was right out the gate, and the night market was right down the street. The manager saved us lots of money by arranging transportation and alternatives to the tours to see some of the sites. They also had inexpensive laundry service.
