"Beautifully and recently renovated property with luxurious rooms, loads of nice details and small touches. Breakfast was good, dinner a bit hit and miss. Interesting menu and generally tasty but at £95 for two (without alcohol) it didn’t always meet expectations and a couple of dishes were a let down. Would happily revisit the chain for bed and breakfast."

"The Grosvenor is on the main street, with it's own car parking behind the hotel. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. The decor throughout the hotel was attractive and all the rooms well maintained. We had the Mayfly suite, which had a four poster bed, seating area and a large bathroom. There was a good choice on the breakfast menu. The attractive garden has plenty of seating areas. The location was perfect for where we were visiting. We will definitely return to the Grosvenor."

"This hotel is a lovely modern hotel with compact rooms. The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. Ensure you ask for a room on a higher floor, as floor 2 has huge noise issues from approx. 5am onwards. The gym is below, and the noise from the weights being dropped is so loud. Thankfully the music didn't start until 8am, but if you're there for a peaceful getaway then plan carefully. We didn't arrive to the hotel until 2am after a long drive, and managed only a few hours sleep. The staff...

"We stay for Southampton port , room was clean , bed was comfy . Didn’t use the bar and breakfast was good though a little busy ( guess everyone was using the port ) Staff was excellent and all in all a very nice one night stays. Would use again"

"Unique historic property. A restaurant with rooms … definitely not your usual chain hotel room. In a building hundreds of years old the floors and stairs are very wonky … so mind your step! We loved the character of the buildings and our room (no. 6 … not all rooms have wood panelling this dark!) … it was spacious and had everything we needed. And the food in the restaurant was great … both for evening meal and breakfast."
