The welcome was lovely and warm, staff were always helpful, very much appreciated as a solo traveller. The room was spacious and clean, yes, there was a slight smell coming from the water outlet in the shower, but opening the windows, sorted that out. No issues with flies, as I read in a previous review, could have been the time of year as I was there during the first week in September. The gardens unfortunately weren’t as seen in advert, so maybe some up to date photos there. Wonderfully central, 3-4 minutes to the centre of the town where you could get buses, tuc tucs or taxis to all the sights, 15 minutes to the train station for trains to Lisbon. Plenty shops and restaurants too. Great for a short visit to beautiful Si tra.

We had a wonderful stay in Sintra. The location was absolutely perfect, with all the main attractions within walking distance. It was so convenient to be able to walk and explore the beautiful sights of Sintra without needing a car. Our room was a pleasant surprise — very spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. After a day of sightseeing, it was wonderful to come back to such a comfortable and relaxing space. The only downside is that Sintra becomes very quiet in the evening. Most of the boutiques and shops close around 7:00 p.m., and restaurant kitchens generally close by 8:30 p.m. at the latest, so there isn't much happening at night. However, we discovered a special place about 1.5 km away that was open until 1:00 a.m., which was perfect for us! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The excellent location, spacious and comfortable room, and proximity to all the major attractions made it a great base for discovering beautiful Sintra. We would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to explore Sintra on foot.

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming and historic boutique hotel. The location inside old town was perfect for sightseeing and very quiet at night. The road is closed to most car traffic but access to buses, taxis, or Bolt rides are a short walk away. The room was spacious, decorated with antique pieces, and had an outdoor garden sitting area. Although the bathroom fixtures were a little tight in space, they were fine. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the provided breakfast was lovely and a great start to the day. Definitely recommend!
