Other clients arrived stating they had received an email from owner with code entrance and room number. We did not! Tried ringing owner.Taking the initiative we worked out from the register what rooms were taken so we took a key. The hotel is smelly, dark and very unwelcoming. "Chambre annulée sur place alors que payée. Très mauvais accueil. Surbooking pour atterrir à 2kms… un Mercure… attention de ne pas confondre Surbooking et Dol. Une fois arrivé au Mercure 4*… Télévision qui ne fonctionne pas, plus de place sur le parking à 20:30, pas de gel douche dans la SDB… pour un surclassement en 4 étoiles… c’est limite… très limite. Il faudrait penser à se poser les bonnes questions. Personnellement je ne me les pose plus concernant ces deux établissements ; a fuir, next....

"Fantastic hotel right in the heart of Carcassonne. Family room was fabulous - clean and spacious, with a great view overlooking the street outside. The owners were welcoming and friendly, letting us leave our baggage and offering advice on the local area. Lovely breakfast with a beautiful courtyard outside. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough, thank you for a wonderful stay."
