This is our go to stop-over on our way back from a second home in the French Alps. The hotel is a Heritage Building at the heart of the old walled town which sits high above the city of Laon. There is plentiful parking in close proximity and a variety of interesting restaurants. Laon Cathedral is amongst the finest in France and is just 5 minutes walk. Excellent and cost effective breakfast not to be missed. We will be returning quite soon!

A slightly quirky property in an excellent location at the heart of the historic centre of Laon. The perfect location for an overnight stop on our way back from the French Alps.

The hotel is extremely well located within the historic centre of Laon. We have stayed there on four separate occasions as we travel through France to or from the Channel Tunnel. The hotel itself is full of historic interest with a somewhat quirky charm. There is ample free parking within easy walking distance and a good choice of restaurants all within a hundred yards of the hotel door. We will be returning there soon.

Historic 3 storey character house on top of the hill in the medieval old town, close to the Cathedral. Good wi-fi. Rue Serurier itself is car free and has seen better days but the houses are being renovated. Owner is very obliging. Breakfast is simple (bread plus croissants) but good. Hotel has no car park of its own so you either park in the nearby public parking in front of La Marie in Place du General Leclerc (free overnight from 6pm to 9am, after that a further free 90 min is possible with a time disk) or Rue du Rem Saint Remy, which is unrestricted, but a few minutes further to walk.

A beautiful hotel ideally positioned in the centre of town. We were using as a stop over on way back to Calais and was ideal. Need to be aware the hotel opens at 04:00pm for check in and there was no facility to get coffee or breakfast and as we were staying New Year’s Day (everything in town was closed) meant a drive out to Burger King!! However lovely hotel full of character

Very good service

We chose the hotel because of its location near the cathedral which we wished to visit. A refreshing change from the chain hotels we normally use in France. An extremely helpful and courteous owner (Pierre) gave us a choice of rooms and we enjoyed the space and features provided. Breakfast was very fresh and represented good value. We used the recommended parking nearby which was fine for an overnight stay but may be a problem if staying longer. Happy to recommend this as a good place to stay.

Hotel was closed on arrival had to phone for us to register, There was a smell comiing from the bathroom. We were in 3rd floor no elevator. Breakfast was from 7.30am, but there was no-one at bfast room it was in darkness, so we just left to continue our journey home.

Le personnel est très, très accueillant et aimable. Le matelas est étonnamment confortable pour une mousse. Par contre, les oreillers était vraiment inconfortable. Et il faut se rendre compte que le parking gratuit n'est pas un parking de l'hôtel mais tout simplement du parking dans la rue (par contre il n'y a pas de risque à laisser une voiture dehors la nuit dans le centre de Laon).

Vraiment très moyen

Hôtel très moyen et vieillissant. Chambre très limite au niveau de la propreté avec de la moisissure sur les murs, chauffage faible et chasse d’eau qui ne fonctionnait pas. Pipeau de douche avec 1m de câble donc difficile de prendre sa douche. L’hôtel devrait rénover ses chambres car à ce tarif la ce n’est pas possible, surtout pour de la basse saison . Personnel aimable et serviable. Petit déjeuner correct. Pour info, aucun parking gratuit comme énoncé dans la fiche descriptive.
