"Excellent location in Laon. Husband and wife staff were extremely friendly and helpfull. We'd hoped to dine on site for our evening meal. Their restaurant was closed and they found us an alternative restaurant and made a dinner reservation for us. I was recovering from a cold and the owner prepared me a hot lemon honey and ginger drink to have before I went to bed. Even made me one the following morning. To some the hotel may feel dated, but out group of 8 loved the sense of history the hotel...

"Accueil très sympathique de la part du gérant, établissement simple mais très fonctionnel et propre, literie confortable (seule la douche mériterait d'être un peu plus grande dans la chambre que j'avais mais qui était une chambre simple). L'établissement propose un service de restauration avec une carte alléchante (que je n'ai malheureusement pas pu tester). Pour résumer mon court séjour : on se croirait à la maison !"
"Lovely period property, beautifully restored with appropriate and comfortable furniture. We stayed in the Gauguin Room on the top floor, which was wonderful. Guillaume and Daniel were perfect hosts. Within walking distance of the abbey and the cathedral.
Only dropped one star because the toiletries consisted only of soap by the sink and no bathrobes as per the advert. However, the photos on Expedia are not up to date and it's so much better than they show.
We'd definitely stay here again. "
