"We needed to book a one night stay in the area south of Boston and chose the Double Tree by Hilton in Rockland. It was a convenient location and we enjoyed a clean and quiet room. Front desk staff could not have been frriendlier and check in was flawless. In addition, it has a Bar and Grill on site so, when we arrived at the hotel just after 7:00 PM after a long day, we were able to have a nice relaxing meal and cold beverage at thier on premises restaurant and found decent food and outstanding service by the bartender. I would recommend this hotel if you need a hotel just south of Boston, aka, on "The South Shore" of Massachusetts. "

"Clean room "

"We stayed for 5 days and on the 3rd day, I noticed that the other rooms were bring cleaned except for ours. Mind you, that we've been changing the trash ourselves which was no big thing. I asked the front desk (which was a young lady) when our room was going to be serviced such as changing the sheets, trash cans, new towels and I especially wanted the floors swept because our stay was in March and there were salt and sand on our shoes from outside. The young lady asked me how long have I been there, and I told her 3 days. She tells me that I won't be getting any services until I leave which is for another 2 days. I asked her why would I need service after I leave? Then I asked her to forget it, and if she can give me a broom and I'll do it myself. She goes to look for a broom. While I'm waiting for her, another older woman came and asked me what I need. I told her that I need my room serviced and if nothing, at least the floors swept. The old woman tells me that they don't do any room service until the person leaves. I asked her "so I don't get any room services even if I stay for 2-3 weeks?" and her response was rude and mean "YES". She also said that it's because there's only 2 housekeepers for the entire hotel and with an attitude like I was asking for too much, she said that she'll come sweep the floor, but she couldn't promise when. I said "thank you" and left. After an hour, the housekeeper came and ONLY swept the room. I went to the cart and got thing I needed."

"Everyone was friendly and the breakfast was ok but the carpets looked dirty, the room wasn’t cleaned properly (I found random hairs in the sink area and bed) and it smelled like a cross between just old and like someone was smoking in the room before us. In general the hotel had an odor about it. "
