What an amazing find!!!! Literally in the middle of nowhere, La Scarzoula was a 16th century monastery acquired by Tomaso Bozzi in the 1950s. He proceeded to build what he called his “ideal city”, which features various building structures with a ton of mystic symbols and seven theaters. The theaters are a reference to the drama we call life.

"Restaurant was amazing! We dined on the panoramic terrace and the wine and meal was delicious! The hotel room was a generous size and had high quality linens. A generous breakfast was served in the inn’s dining room. We stayed here on a drive from southern to northern Italy and were very glad to have booked the place! "

"The best accommodations we've had in Italy. The rooms are so cute! The stone walls, brick ceiling, and chandelier... I felt like I woke up in a castle. The entire property is just beautiful!! "Very good location. Very clean. Nearby free parking. Breakfast was just okay. Too much unnecessary clutter and perfumery airfreshner smell in room in my opioion. Seemed totally unnecessary as rooms were spotlessly clean. Luggage rack in room would be helpful. Would definitely recommend. "

"We had the accessible room in the rear of the building and it seems like this was likely the nicest room. We particularly enjoyed the large shower with very hot water. The property was a close drive to Old Orvieto and parking at the town is convenient from the pay lot. The Agriturismo grounds are very pretty and peaceful and the staff are all so nice. Breakfast was typical Italian (mostly cakes) and enjoyed from the sunroom/deck. We have no complaints! Very nice stay."
