I’d stay again!

Great hotel with good service and English-speaker on staff (in case your French is minimal). Yummy dinner, good breakfast buffet. GREAT views over Chinon

This hotel is located on a quiet hill with a beautiful view, a great place for an overnight stay during a trip, or a weekend get away to some peaceful time. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is abundant with freshly baked pastries. Strongly recommended! Definitely will stay again if passing here again in future.

A great place to stopover on the way back or to the south of France. The town of Chinon is 5 mins away and worth exploring. Host was excellent and very helpful. We got a vegetarian meal ( feel the menu should have this) which was put together for us and was excellent. Lovely room with a pleasant view. Only negative point was a school group who were above us were quite noisy but still got a good nights sleep.

Un havre de paix et de beauté

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet établissement exceptionnel. Installés dans la chambre pour pmr (personne à mobilité réduite) nous avons particulièrement apprécié la salle de bain spacieuse et aménagée de façon efficace pour une personne en fauteuil roulant. Quel plaisir de contempler la vue magnifique sur la forêt, dans le calme du soir, depuis la petite terrasse privative ! La gentillesse et la prévenance du propriétaire et la cuisine délicieuse ont parfait ce séjour qui restera dans nos mémoires. Merci à M Loussouarn !

Loire Valley Hotel is a great deal!

This is a very nice place with friendly service. No kitchen utilities, but the restaurant is good and fairly priced. Try the escargot! The air conditioning was a relief!! Very centrally located if you're going chateau-seeing. And the sunset view from the terraces is wonderful. Downer: No working Wi-fi in the farthest rooms. (Ours was #25)

Good spot to start a wine buying stay

We have been using this hotel since it was first taken over by the present Patron and his wife. The rooms are adequate, clean and comfortable, each with a small private terrace. The Patron speaks excellent English and couldn't be more helpful. Madame runs the kitchen and the restaurant is improving with each passing year. Adequate parking and delightful outlook down the valley of the Vienne.makes a pleasant end to the day. Well away from the road and so is an oasis of peace and quiet. No complaints at all, .

Great little gem of a hotel.

Fantastic hotel great service lovely food and excellent family rooms. Stopping over on the way back to the ferry. But wish we'd stayed longer. Hotel manager is a top bloke couldn't do enough for us.

Calme, accueillant et confortable

Ce n'était qu'une halte improvisée dans le Val de Loire au milieu d'un très long voyage. Mais le confort procuré, l'accueil chaleureux et le bon repas nous ont remis sur pied. C'est un hôtel à la campagne situé en hauteur avec une vue superbe sur la vallée de la Vienne à Chinon.

Stylish little hotel.

This was a one night stopover on our drive down to Bordeaux. Lovely location. Owners were very welcoming. Very stylish rooms with beautiful views - steep stairs to mezzanine level in the rooms may be unsuitable for young children. Immaculately clean rooms. Dinner in hotel was delicious - perhaps a little too grown up for children's taste but owners were very helpful with suggestions. There are also plenty of good local restaurants in in the town. Chinon is only a 5mins drive. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious - we enjoyed the home-made pancakes and croissants. Would definitely stay here again - stylish little hotel with lots personal touches.

Engagiert und persönlich geführt

Das Hotel liegt ganz im Grünen auf einer Anhöhe. aber nah zu Chinon, und ist gut als Ausgangspunkt für eine Besichtigung zahlreicher Loire-Schlösser geeignet. Man merkt, dass es liebevoll mit Blick für das Detail geführt wird. Abends kann man das Restaurant (das Hotel wird von einem Ehepaar geführt, der Mann kümmert sich um das Hotel, die Frau ist die Köchin) besuchen und kann ambitionierte französische Küche zu sehr annehmbaren Preisen auf der Terrasse genießen. Bei den Familienzimmern befindet sich das zweite Schlafzimmer auf der Galerie, für ältere Kinder (wie bei uns) eine sehr schöne Möglichkeit.
