We may have just gone at a bad time, but the (small) pool wasn't clean (and the pool area just looked sort of abandoned), our room had electricity in only about 50% of outlets, and someone had pre-filled the Keurig-style coffee pot with water (which couldn't be seen), so we had a major coffee overflow in the morning. The manager, however, was fantastic, and she should be working in a much higher-end hotel. Only one elevator was working; it's motel-style (with room doors opening to the outside, not to an interior hallway), and one restaurant, with exorbitant prices. We cut our stay short and moved to another hotel.
However, the walk to the beach (and shops and restaurants) was lovely, so if that's your main objective and you're not expecting a resort experience, you'll be just fine.
