Memories

It a not so good experience that I had no aircon for two nights out of the three nights stay. I had to inform them twice before they willing to service the aircon. This is the first time I experienced after so many travel and stay in hotels book thru hotel.com. Overall the surroundings is good with a shopping mall beside with many great foods and shops. The lake beside is great for a evening walk with family or friends. Convenient to travel around too.

De-stressing at a beach in the city

We stayed at Philea Mines as it was the closest hotel to MIECC as we were attending a meeting there. The hotel is clean and quiet and spacious. The buffet breakfast was better than before. Also, there is a shopping centre conveniently located nearby.

No running water

I am a frequent traveller around Malay & this hotel was one of the worst I have ever stayed in. We were being collected from the hotel at 7:30 so up at 6:00, NO running water, so its off to reception to complain & request a room change, No change wait. OK so we go for breakfast. Not open, opened late at 6:40. OK back to room for a coffee, the kettle doesn't work...... Back to breakfast, to add insult to injury...the coffee the staff had brewed was like piss. Worst of the worst.Our meeting had to be re-scheduled while we were waiting for repairs. NEVER AGAIN

Our first and last stay in the hotel

We stayed for 1 night superior room lake view... Overall, nothing to shout about. Service was not up our expectation.. The concierge did not even bother to open the car door when we arrived at the hotel lobby. He merely stared at us! Good service eh?! The breakfast buffet had such a limited selection of food as compared to other 4 star rated hotels we have been to. Except for the lake view and the strategic location near The Mines Shopping Mall, will never recommend it to others.

Located close to Expo Center

Philes Mines Beach Resort is conveniently located close to the MIECC, hence perfect for anyone attending an event there. However their reception staff are rude and abrupt. The room we stayed in was booked for 3 people, however they asked for more money for an extra bed, despite the fact that we had already paid for 3 people. They had reasonable breakfast at the cafe, however we had to wait for almost 1.5 hours for our dinner, after waiting for about 30mins to order it in the first place. They call this place a resort, however their services don’t match up to even a 3 star hotel! Quite disappointing. The only great thing was it’s convenient proximity to the expo centre.

Nice hotel

I stayed there for 2 days , room was good, the only thing which I found was not good or even satisfactory was in room menu even the restaurant haven’t got much options. Specially if you go around 9pm you will be waiting around 20-30 mnts for food, except one restaurant in lobby none other are open.

Cheap and good but old!

Very reasonable price but place is old. House keeping is so eager to make my room at 8am! I have not even left the room. But they were nice to extend my late check out to 2pm even though I left at 11:30am. Location of lobby is a little difficult for cab drivers to locate.

Nice hotel close to the beach

It’s a great and nice hotel but the only thing that i kinda disappointed is about check out time.. why must 11am? Then the check in time like 3pm late then why check out time before 12? Should be check out early n check in time also early.. I wouldn’t mind if check in 4pm then check out 2pm.. i think la but others i don’t know. Tq
