We loved our stay at Tinidee! Our favourite hotel in Thailand so far. The staff were so friendly and service was excellent. The food and cocktails were very good. Our beachfront cabana was wonderful. Such a beautiful scenic location still close to everything, we would love to stay here again!
One of my favourite places ive stayed to date. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are fabulous and spacious. They have filtered water foe drinking in the room. And lots of relaxing vignettes. Its a stunning property.
WOW! This property is in the most beautiful location I’ve ever seen. Breathtaking views. Delicious free breakfast. Walk to Railay beach next door for an unreal beach day with soft sand and warm water. This place is magical!!
The bed was amazing!!! The food was good and although more expensive than in town, it wasn’t overpriced. Only annoyance was that the bed sheets were supposed to be changed every other day and we stayed for 3 nights and they were never changed. It was like 10pm when we got into get and noticed.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The property was amazing, the staff were wonderful, the only problem was the transportation to the resort… we had to take long boat transportation and the tide gets low in the afternoons so if you wanted to hang out at other beaches you had to come back early because then no longboats can take you… if u choose to stay there all of your stay then great but if you want to venture around then not recommended.. plus the long tail taxi men are rude and rushing you to get out and can cause you to get injured like I did… but the property itself and staff was amazing
Very unique location and rustic. I liked it’s a small resort for mostly adults, so it was quiet and relaxing. We were in the family unit which did feel like camping with lockers for closets and the bigger cement wall bathroom with fans. Grateful for air conditioning in the bedroom unit. The master bedroom mattress was quite hard, not very comfortable. But the view from the front and back windows were amazing.
Pros:
- Secluded from major touristy areas
- Rooms are great
- Bed was super comfortable
- Nice nature / surrounding area
Cons:
- Service (unresponsive upon arrival / throughout the stay, house keeping did not take dirty dishes, towels or trash)
- You are secluded (also a major pro, but worth noting that if you are hoping to leave at night, not possible & pretty challenging to leave / explore during the day as well unless you are willing to pay the boat drivers double)
Overall, this place did not have a good value for us. I think we would have had equal amenities/service at a hostel. It was fine but we would not book again.
The scenery is amazing, so I am giving one extra star for that... but otherwise this place could definitely be better for the price.
1) They did not provide any towels, coffee, etc the next day.
2) The shower doesn't drain very well.
3) One of the two water glasses in the room fell over and broke (because all floors and counters are concrete), and then they never replaced it.
4) The main dishes they had for breakfast didn't have vegetarian options. The first day, the sign said "vegetable noodles" but was wrong, and had big chunks of chicken in it. Also, much of the breakfast food was tepid, sitting out at room temperature.
5) The wifi and power sometimes went out (a big problem when it affects the AC!)
6) You have to walk around the grounds quite a bit, and there are dangerous pieces of garbage/industrial detritus around, like rusty metal hidden in the grass.
7) People go to the pool and "stake a claim" on the sun loungers by putting their towels there, selfishly reserving them for themselves all day, even though they aren't there.
8) Food and drinks are twice the price of nearby places in Tonsai or Railay
9) I had to cancel the last night of our stay, because the boats required to get here don't leave early enough to catch morning flights. I tried to change reservation weeks in advance, and they wouldn't change it (despite "free cancellation" policy) so I had to pay over 5000 baht for a night I wasn't even there.
Oh wow! Anne and I caught ourselves saying this over and over, either walking around the property or on our deck. Beauty was everywhere. Colors, sounds, nature.
We were on our honeymoon, no one knew, no one suspected (we are in our 60s) but everyone here treated us like they all knew. Just the most peaceful people to be around. We were there for 7 nights, and that was too short of a stay!
The room was exceptional. Clean! Spacious! Plenty of space. We had a shared unit, but we were separated by a thick wall, so never heard anybody else, just seen in passing. Our side was very well laid out. Glass on 3 sides (heavy curtains :) in the bedroom, and a spacious shower/bathroom area. Tinidee has filtered water for drinking, something we didn't have in Bangkok, so a nice surprise. Glass was so clean that I always had to be careful to not walk into them.
We sat outside on our covered deck often, rain or shine. And enough room of to hang our clothes on their foldout drying rack. We were directly facing the beach several units away from the pool. So peaceful and quiet. Except for the Mynah birds whom we came to know and love.
Traveling in November, 2024, the weather was fantastic. A few drizzles. Great air conditioning! Breakfast was very nice and peaceful, and dinner here is excellent. No crowds! We walked to Railay Beach. Ugh. Crowds.
Tonsai Beach also has the back loop for wonderful bars and food. The coolest vibe outside of Jamaica I've ever witnessed.
Thank you!!!!
Amazing beach in a surreal setting. The property can use a bit more maintenance. The room was great, and the food was delicious. Breakfast could have had a few more options.
Beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff, room was great. I wish we had more time to spend there. Will be going back soon. Would be great for a couple’s vacation.
Newly built facilities, room was great with view of the sea. Bathroom was as big as the bedroom and had everything you needed.
Food at the restaurant is pricey but all food was quite good, especially the breakfast included in the room price. However the service at the restaurant was extremely slow and we had to cancel orders after one hour of waiting.
Overall I loved Tinidee. It's def the closest to nature that you can get in Krabi. Everyone was so nice and the food was excellent, too.
The only downside, I'd say, is like many ppl have pointed out already no a/c during the hottest hours of the day.
Also, watch out for the insects that come out after heavt rain. Be sure to keep any cracks on the door or windows shut and if possible, turn all lights off or else they will come thru the cracks, flood the room and give you a true nightmare of a lifetime.
The property is part of the private Tonsai beach and overall is excellent; the beach is beautiful and quiet, the setting is outstanding with the picturesque hilltops and the coast line, the bird and animal life was amazing to experience and overall it is a great place to relax. As I mentioned the nature was a great experience; the Spectacled Langurs were always frequenting the area, lizards, geckos, many species of butterflies were always around and dozens of bird species including my favorite Hornbill could be seen and heard all day. The suites were private and nicely maintained and we enjoyed the pool and lounge areas many times. Since Tonsai is isolated, note that you will have to take long boats from the main Ao Nang Pier to and from Tonsai. Plus trek at low tide to visit the superb Railay Beach (west and east) or take long boats for an easier route. The costs can add up. Tonsai does have another major resort and other good food options. Booking excursions from Tonsai and Railay was very easy and I would highly recommend visiting the Hong Island area and the island group around Chicken Island.
Beyond the facility and the setting, the people at Tinidee were amazing. Especially want to call out the restaurant and the front desk folks. always pleasant, very accommodating, helpful and simply charming. The food was actually really good and a few things, including the pineapple fried rice, became favorites of our vacation. Really should be at least a 4-star hotel.
The grounds of this hotel is actually not bad, hence why i'm not rating it all bad. The pool side is nice with great views, beach is pretty pitiful but water was nice.
Service there was excellent, but excellent service doesn't always make up for multiple things that go wrong.
1) NO AIRCON ON PROPERTY BETWEEN 10AM - 2PM, even when the AC turns back on it is very weak and room is super stuffy.
2) We got to Tonsai at 2PM, room was not ready, were asked to wait until 3PM. Went back to the desk at 3PM and staff were reluctant to give us the keys. Ended up giving us the housekeeping's keys to our villa. As we're getting ready and changing in our room to go to the pool, our front door flies open - and two other guests are standing there. The front desk had either given the keys to the wrong people or didn't get the room key back from the previous guests (which was what they said but doesn't make sense since all their belongings were no longer in the room). This is a huge huge error and made me feel unsafe in the hotel.
3) At night there are lemurs and monkeys jumping on the hotel roof keeping you from sleeping.
As i said, hotel staff were extremely kind and friendly, but that does not make up for giving our room key to somebody else or for the fact that there is no AC between 10AM and 2PM, the hottest hours of the day.
We cut our trip short and left two days early.
Rekommenderar varmt denna lilla resort.
