"Stay was convenient. Although i did try to contact staff by email and phone i had no luck. But i also didnt book directly with the hostel so its not their fault either. Luckily there was somoene willing to help get in contact with staff. Bedding was comfortable enough, room was provided with air conditioning. But all in all its totally fine for a short stay. Right next to family mart and easy self check in ~ bonus!! "

"It was fantastic! From the entrance, the bamboos are seem to be welcomeing us and once we through the door, quite space was there and nice probably designed furnitures. Staff was really nice and they attended us to the room. A room we stay was Japanese style with hot spring. Hot spring was really great and temperatures was perfect. There were big hot spring in a different place but if you want to enjoy own time, differently room hot spring is worth to enjoy. Oh, there were many restaurants...

"Stayed here while my travel companions climbed Mt Fuji. Excellent location for getting to mountain and wonderful onsen for those not doing the climb! Very good breakfast options, helpful staff, comfortable beds. Lots of parking available and views of Fuji!"

"A very thoughtful set up and breakfast is way better than how they advertised it. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Free shuttle to Kawaguchigo station but only 20 min walk if you want to do it. A 7 min walk to a grocery stores which open kind of late at 9am. Not too many restaurants around so plan accordingly. "

After we climb the Mt Fuji and unable to walk further from our car to the main door, the staff will greet us from afar and help us with the luggage’s, not for tips but for their professionalism and values they cherish much. The surroundings are stunning: mountains, rivers, pure silence. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down and just be. The hot springs were a highlight — natural, healing, and beautifully maintained. I left feeling physically and mentally reset. Meals were exceptional — local, seasonal, prepared with real care and balance. You can tell this isn’t just hospitality, it’s heritage passed down through generations. The staff were some of the kindest and most thoughtful people I’ve ever met. Discreet but always there when needed, with a level of attention that feels almost forgotten in today’s world. It’s more than a hotel — it’s an experience of Japanese culture, stillness, and deep respect for nature. I honestly hope my descendants can visit this place another 1,300 years from now. It’s worth preserving forever."

The staff were professional and helpful. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. It was a pleasant stay. An extra bonus was an excellent vegan restaurant, Fluunt Kofu, just a few doors down from the hotel. Highly recommended."
