Top Kohala Historical Sites State Monument Hotel Reviews
Hilton Waikoloa Village
8/10 Good
"It’s a very nice place. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. A resort hotel should be 100% operational. The boats don’t work anymore. The tram only serves two sections of the hotel. The food options are limited and of low quality for the cost. A $50 plate of pasta should never arrive at a table cold. Lunch and dinner options are limited. Paying the price for a meal here should be remembered as amazing, not blah, blah, blah. The breakfast buffet is overpriced. The Luau was a great show, the food was pretty good. Standing in line in the heat for 45 minutes is ridiculous. Elderly people need places to sit in the line. Put some benches along the walkway. The lagoon was amazing. The prices for using water toys is ridiculous. Majority sat unused due to the high cost. Management were very attentive. Carter was especially helpful to address any concerns raised. The staff were very friendly and respectful. "
Hilton Grand Vacations Club Ocean Tower Waikoloa Village
2/10 Terrible
"When checking into the hotel, they don’t tell you that if your room is in the ocean tower you have to take the tram to the tower to check in. That detail should be mentioned when booking. Instead of waiting in the wrong check in lobby for a while just to be told you have to go somewhere else. The tram also takes forever! 2 tram should be running at the same time so th service is better. The AC in my room didn’t work an I was unable to watch TV because no channels worked."
"Fantastic overall. Beach is perfect for swimming (snorkel elsewhere). The views from the North Tower rooms are incredible. No black out shades in the rooms…that was frustrating. Staff was very attentive and kind and the breakfast and on-site restaurants were great, however. Location is a bit isolated, so this is perfect for couple or a family seeking a quiet but fun trip. "
"My family loved the luau, pools, beach, and balcony off our room. The coffee shop and lanai were great for breakfast. Overall we had an excellent stay."
"We had a good stay there. Checked in late and checked out early so didn't get to talk to anyone but the instructions were clear. Rooms were basic but nice. There was a big dead roach on the floor and one fridge was not working. "
"We enjoyed our stay at Kingsland. We were a bit disappointed that the room type we booked wasn’t available and they were unable to accommodate the right type during our stay with no compensation. Beyond that the room was clean and the pools were fun!
Also will mention we woke up every morning to lawn movers and leaf blowers so if that’s something that you’d like to avoid listening to in the morning this may not be the best choice!"
