This property was the favorite lodging of the trip. Amazingly, it was not full. It is within 100 yards of Hawi’s main attraction, Kohala Zipline. The main building forms a square around a lawn-dominated garden: A vintage roadside motel combined with a cloister. Good dining choices are within a short walking or a slightly longer driving distance. Nearby sights/sites of interest include Pololu Beach and two churches in a New England style, both of which look great in the tropical setting.
Had a nice stay here in Hawi without completely breaking the bank, tho I do miss the old funky hotel that used to be a brothel. This was considerably more comfy, if pricier. Still a decent price. Nice people, right around the corner from the main area of shops in town so coffee and meals were simple. Great option.
Air conditioning was very good. The room was great I liked using the keyless entry. All the shops I needed were just a walk away. The Mexican restaurant was excellent. And the Hawi Coffee was the best and very friendly.Staff were friendly and helpful.
Very cute and laid back old Hawaii feel. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The village of Hawi was our favorite stop on the island. Short walk from the hotel to the Main Street with shops and restaurants. We only stayed one night and have already talked about coming back and staying longer.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
No staff present but place was very clean and beautiful
After doing a long trip around the Big Island, I can say that this was our favorite stay. It is a lovely hotel. Check in was very easy, rooms were clean and stay was very quiet.
Very clean, quiet, and so cute! If you’re looking for a nice place to stay in northern Hawaii I would definitely recommend this hotel. My 18 year old son really liked the beds!
Very quaint and cute hotel that is comfortable. Room was clean, had air conditioning, and nice old fashioned decor. They also offered some activities as this is built next to a community center of sorts, so they have hula classes or others available.
This property has a lot of charm and is well maintained. All of my interactions with them have been pleasant and extremely helpful. This is a top choice for a place to stay on the north coast of the island.
I don’t normally take the time to review a hotel but this place is a diamond in the ruff.
I stayed in 12a&b and it was spacious and great for my family of 4 but could have easily accommodated few more kiddos.
The hotel is older but very cute and fits with the old town vibe. If you are staying in the area this should be high on your list
